A few times this week, I've posted something, usually where I've used COPY/PASTE from an eBay message or page and been unable to post it until the HTML is corrected which sometimes autocorrects.
So I go to resubmit and I get prevented but this time for post flooding - it gets worse if you try again because the first message says you try to post 2ce in 60 seconds but then when you wait 60 seconds, the original HTML error recurs so when you try to resubmit the corrected version THIS time, you get the same post flooding error but now it's mad at you and increases the timeline from 60 seconds to 3600 seconds, making the whole point of your post just not worth the trouble.
This is a recent issue I'm having on this board. Anyone else experiencing it?

Yep. Have to set your timer before re-posting, at least.
I think they 'fixed' it, though. Used to be just 3600 seconds.

Yes. Last time I saw it was about a week ago. Hasn't been a common thing for me, but without a doubt it's annoying when it happens.

Yes. It's only when stray HTML is found in the post. I found the changing one word or adding a space or something tricks the post flooding error, unless one gets into the endless loop of HTML/post flooding error.

Yes. A couple of times last week.

It has been added to the list of board bugs 🐛 Who knows when it will be fixed 😉

Yep, multiple times over the past couple of months. Total flippin' pain in the hindquarters. Post flooding when a message hasn't even been posted. So totally Ebay.
I posted about it in the tech thread a while back.
What I do now when I get that message is I'll copy and paste into notepad, copy that, cancel the post and then post again using the message copied from notepad. ::sigh::

Yes, it happens ever time I post an ebay link or copy and paste something from the help pages

Yes, they acknowledged it as an issue in one of the weekly chats.
I noticed something interesting about this problem. I knew for a while now that the left button of the mouse on my main computer, the one that gets clicked hundreds of times a day, was wearing out and getting "sputtery," so that one sloppy press was sending off double clicks instead (and maybe even a burst of three or more). If I wasn't careful, I'd see the double-click response instead of the single-click response for whatever I was doing (such as highlighting an entire word by mistake instead of just a letter or two when editing).
I had the same post-flooding errors that other were reporting, and I was getting them big-time. I had problems getting anything else done either, so finally I replaced the mouse. That fixed all the other headaches, and I noticed that my post-flooding issues had gone away, too.
So what I'm getting at is that maybe the post-flooding error is caused by the system seeing two clicks too close together, and considering that to be an error or posting violation that it used to ignore, but no longer does. Instead of letting a second, unexpected click go to the bit bucket when posting, it now considers the second click to be a duplicate posting attempt, and goes into a tizzy about it. That could also include a secondary post attempt following the auto-correction of an HTML error (real or perceived) in the first attempt.

Yes, just a few minutes ago. Correct highlighted HTML ...of course there was nothing highlighted. ...LOL... then got the flooding error. Went on and on and on like the energizer bunny. Finally, I just copied/pasted my original response to a different user, and by some miracle the same thing had no HTML errors and went right through.

Yep......still around for me.....
I got it because I copied/pasted the thread title to the reply box..........so really added insult to injury......I guess I was just adding clutter............

I absolutely swear I got the html error (not the "post flooding" error) for using the quote function (because the poster's member id is a link) and tagging the poster with the "@" function. I had typed all the other verbiage myself--not copy/pasted from anywhere else. Just the quote function and the tag.
Maddening.

Hi all! Khoros let me know that the 'post flooding' error should be resolved now. If you are still encountering it as of today then please let me know so I can let Khoros know. Thank you 🙂

It's still happening to me, the "flooding" message doesn't always show up BUT it doesn't actually post, either. Sometimes the error message will appear for a few seconds and then disappear.
