Now I see why some of the eBay staff took jobs in other departments.
Frankly, I don't blame them.

Try deleting the recent cookies from Chrome. I found that worked for me.
Deleting 1 hour of cookies worked for me, but I had just opened the community within the previous hour. @readabouthorses deleted 24 hours of eBay cookies.
On Chrome:
Click the 3 dots underneath the X top right corner > Settings > Clear Browsing data > Last hour (or Last 24 hours) > cookies and other site data > Clear site data button

What's the heads up for ? Maybe someone here can help

A major layout change to the community forum.

So far, I don't see any change........
I do have 2 threads pinned and they are showing places where it says "this widget cannot be displayed".......apparently on on parts of the headers........I can still click into the threads......and they do display.... perhaps closing browser will cure it, but not awake enough to experiment yet....
Can anyone do a screen shot?

Everything looks the same to me.
Windows 10 machine
Chrome browser
Desktop platform
Are you referring to the update six months ago?

No, this format change happened between 6 and 7 Eastern this a.m.

Is your browser Google? I got the same thing that looked like a hot mess. I got on Firefox and everything looks normal again. Give it a shot, it may be just a glitch.

I'm using (Google) Chrome, as posted above, and everything looks just like it did last night.
Another poster (in another thread) said it looked fine in Chrome but messed up in Firefox--the opposite of your experience! LOL!

I am seeing a major format change, but only with Chrome. It's so bad that I immediately switched to Firefox, and saw the normal format there, but I don't want to switch to Chrome for accessing the community. I use different browsers for different accounts to keep them separate. I have WIN10, and it's up to date.
This is like trying to read ant tracks. I didn't want to start adjusting settings to try to make this workable before I got the screenshot. This font size that used to work is really tiny, and I can't edit the picture after it was inserted, because when I click on the picture, the editing icons are just blank grey squares. And there's no Preview option. No message numbers on the individual replies, so no way to link directly to a reply.
Tagging other users is not working normally either. It isn't bringing up the drop-down list, so I have to type the full user ID, and then it doesn't turn into a tag. I hope they turn into tags when I post this, and that I remember the Blue's user IDs correctly. (Edit: OK, it looks like the tags converted from text to tags when I posted this.)

It did get all messed up this morning somewhere around 7 am eastern time. That was about the same time as there was an update to Firefox. Everything else on the internet was fine. I even went to the UK community boards and they were fine.
So I waited to see if it would fix itself. It didn't. Finally went and deleted all the eBay cookies I could find from today and now it seems to be back to normal.
Windows 10
Firefox (latest edition)

I'm seeing the community OK on firefox at this point ... I checked for an update and it doesn't say there's one available, so my version should be up to date.
I will take a look at cookies in Chrome and see if that helps.

90.0 is the Firefox update that I got this morning but I still had to delete all of today's ebay cookies to get rid of the mess.

I'm on Firefox 89.0.2, and the community is fine in Firefox for me at this point.
I tried deleting cookies on Chrome, and that fixed it for me. I didn't see an option to choose to delete cookies for a particular site, so I deleted the last hour of cookies, hoping that would be enough. I had probably navigated here within the last hour, and I normally log off at the end of the day and close the tab, so I probably got new cookies when I accessed the community this morning.
When I deleted the last hour of cookies, and then navigated back here, the community was back to normal for the most part, and it stayed that way after I logged in.
Not quite back to normal. I now have a spindly little sans-serif font as the default, which is very difficult to read against the blindingly white background. I'm going to have to play around with the brightness settings, which is going to interfere with everything else I do on this computer. I just tried turning on the night-light setting on my computer. I can read this font a bit better, but I really don't like this, I can't keep it this way. My eyes are hurting and they don't want to focus.

OH NO -- I just checked to see what version of Chrome I was on, and it was downloading an update. I'll bet that is related to this issue.
Nearly up to date! Relaunch Google Chrome to finish updating. Incognito windows won't reopen.
Version 91.0.4472.124
I'm going to need to restart Chrome. So maybe that will fix it, or maybe I'll be back to the bad format again.

OK, restarted Chrome with the new update and it's the same as it was just before I restarted. The normal community layout is still displayed.
This skinny sans-serif font is way too hard to read. I can't take the night-light setting in Windows, so I have turned the brightness down instead. I don't know if that's going to be feasible for working on other programs though.
