For me it would be the returns. The switch to 30/day free returns to keep TS badge has been a nightmare.

I dont necessarily want them to get rid of it, just make it for NEW items only.  I just can't be expected to be responsible for 50 yr old electronics to work like new.

Honestly? To get rid of every single Chinese seller that sells mass produced junk, to get rid of every single dropshipper, and frankly to get rid of every new, mass produced item on this website. Go back to pre-owned and vintage items only.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Allow ALL members to sell ALL listings at ALL times.  No interruptions; no blackouts, no limiting views to certain locations.  Enough!   🙂    Good luck to all.

Ohhhh....I love that!  Make it a level playing field.  It's not fair to cater to large warehouse sellers....they are already getting enough sales.

If we have to do free returns for the Top Rated discount, make it 20%!  With the increase cost of shipping labels, 10% isn't cutting it!

Also, give us a better deal on shipping label prices....

OK that is more than one thing!  Oh well...

Go back to eBay c. 2003 and stay there.

I’d like to see bonafide retailers on the BOD. Someone with a background in sales and marketing in the retail world. That would be nice, especially if they had experience in ecommerce.

A number of my clients have been burned by eBay's VeRO program - the "guilty until proven innocent" nature of the entire process needs to be corrected - and can be quite easily:

1. VeRO Rights Owner finds listing(s) they believe is in violation.  They file a complaint with eBay.

2. eBay contacts the seller and they have 3 days to resolve issue with Rights Owner via eBay Message.

3a. Seller supplies Rights Owner with info needed to count perceived violation (purchase receipts, etc).

3b. Seller also has the option to simply end the listing(s) and not relist.

4. If the Rights Owner is satisfied, the complaint is withdrawn and everyone's fine.

5. If the Seller or Rights Owner refuse to communicate, the complaint is withdrawn and everyone's fine.

6. If the Seller cannot satisfy the Rights Owner and refuses to withdraw/cancel the listing(s), the listings are removed and the seller is disciplined.

This follows more closely the current business process -- file a cease-and-desist and if they don't, take them to court.  But the seller is considered innocent until proven guilty, instead of the current guilty until prove innocent.  It also eliminates a very noticable delay between the time Righs Owners file complaint revocations and the time the seller suspension is lifted.  Once of my clients was suspended for 7 days 2 HOURS after listing, but it took two DAYS after the Rights Owner filed their revocation before the suspension was listed.  Meaning they could not list for 5 days instead of just 2-3.  Only good part of that whole debacle is that the Rights Owner was communicative and agreed that my client's supplier was legit.

The current system could also be improved by requiring Rights Owners to communicate with the sellers they report -- don't let them just close down the competition and go silent.  If the Rights Owner isn't willing to defend their claim of violation and confirm that the seller's source is legit, they should not be considered a Rights Owner.  US law requires businesses to defend their patents, trademarks, etc -- why not the same here?  Defend and communicate or lose your right.

Allow sellers to leave appropriate feedback for buyers that are less than honest, just as they are allowed to leave appropriate feedback for less than honest sellers.  It is probably the only real way for sellers to protect themselves against buyer fraud.

Seems to me it used to work just fine that way

The VERO program is set up that way in order to comply with the Millennium Digital Copyright Act and provide eBay with protection from liability.

The changes you suggest would not comply with that law and would negate eBay's protection from liability. eBay isn't going to assume liability for copyright violations by the sellers who list here - they would foolish to do that.

Id love my top rated discounted fees back that I was promised I could keep if I started 1 day handling, and 30 day returns. Id also really really love if my items showed up in search without paying an extra 8% promoted listings charge. Those are my top 2 out of 1172 others.

It is NOT required to have a 30 day Free Return policy to retain your TRS status.

It is required if you want to get the discount on the FVF for sales.  AKA the TRS+ badge.

But you do not have to have even a single listing qualify for TRS+ but you still can be TRS.

In theory it sounds great.  But buyer needs change, technology changes, the world changes.  To stop trying to keep up with the Jones so to speak, it to go by the way side like AOL, My Space, Etc.

We have to move forward with the times or we are self defeating.

I do agree the present Vero program is a ROYAL (*&%&^#'er!

If you as a seller fall into the snare, your listing will be completely demolished and obliterated without any warning or chance to fix it, and here's the best part:  Their message will tell you that once you have resolved the issue you can then relist (EXCEPT they don't tell you - If you don't have a physical backup you may have to relist from scratch by creating a whole NEW listing) and one more thing:  Even if the Vero complainer and you settle on a solution it's no guarantee the Vero snare won't snap shut on your listing again!

I have more but I have to stop, I get really upset about this subject, I still have inventory that got shut down time ago and even thou the "violation" has been fixed I've never relisted...
