Hello, I am at my wits in, I hope someone can help me , I canceled a transaction recently because this buyer was harassing me with questions about a item, every question he asked was answered in the listing if he bothered to read the listing also he was using all different user id's to ask the questions, I did answer every question he asked and he bought the item finally, then he started asking questions again after the sale, I answered them until I had had enough and was getting concerned he was starting to scare me, so I canceled his sale blocked all the user id's he used, waited a couple of days relisted the item which were bought quickly it looked like it wasn't him . apparently it was him under yet another user id, I had called ebay about him , they assured me they would look into it and remove any neg fedbk he might leave, well so far he has left me 3 neg fedbks for the 1 purchase all different id's, ebay will do nothing about it . how is he able to do this how many feedbacks are you allowed for 1 transaction. Help please any advice. Thank you.

I suspect many of us learned the negative feedback on item cancellation this hard way. I learned to contact them first to get them to 'allow it/request it' and there's not been an issue. But, more likely your concern, there are prospects that just send a bad vibe (you can just tell with enough experience), so I called to ask how you can 'discriminate' as many companies in the real world do. They said that you could proactively block them if the questions they ask just raise suspicion, stopping them before they actually order.
I sell random used items. The concerns I have are by obvious resellers. Initially I thought, 'everyone wins,' I sold for a deal but got item out of inventory, let them hold on to it for top dollar.' But then I started seeing that any issues I had (INAD, return request for non-return item, etc.) were later realized from traders of similar items. Sure they don't always ask questions, but I'll work on that. When they do ask questions, it's like 'can you confirm the screen has no black spot in the upper left' or 'do the sunglasses have a faint scratch in the lower right?'''then upon receipt almost immediately reply with the specific defect ('these sunglasses have the slight scratch I asked about') - shocker, they are swapping. So then I started taking detailed numerous photos and mostly thwarting those guys. But now I see eBay doesn't seem to even care about that - 'the customer is always right.' So upon odd question, I plan to proactively block. The multiple IDs may be a concern though.

Get off the phone and use the actual trained eBay employees assigned to social media.
Using a different account to repurchase is a no-no.
that was not a option for a reason (they only give you 3 options) so I said item unavailable,
The best reason to cancel would have been "problem with address" but even that allows feedback, because cancellations are considered to be a polite mutual decision that the transaction should not happen.
Unavailable/Out of Stock gives your account a Defect.
Ouch.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.
But what you want is to have the second and third sales cancelled because the buyer is not buying in good faith and to have the feedback removed for the same reason.
Try not to get off topic. You're communicating clearly here, so that should be okay.
Try to get that Defect removed. It is more painful than 20 negative feedback.

Normally, I don't look at historical postings, but I have to make a comment here.
Your replies to the negative feed backs you did receive were a bit, well. Confrontational. Nearly every single one of them, some even in ALL CAPS.
If you are going to deal with negative feed back, you need to avoid feeding into it. This lets buyers know they can aggravate you easily and only makes it worse. Maybe a few suggestions?
You are far better off to:
If you show that you are mad, irked, or respond at their level, they will win. I know it isn't right, but that's how it works. Kill them with kindness.
The real thing to keep in mind, how you react to a negative post will also scare off other buyers. If you try to keep it along the lines I suggested, it shows you can handle a problem just fine. And other buyers will feel more at ease.
But that's simply my opinion. I do not sell at the volume you do. But I make every effort to let my buyers know that I appreciate their business and hopefully they know I will take care of them if there is a problem.
Good luck, and please, this isn't anything meant in a bad way. It's just helpful advice.

No they weren't removed. They're still there along with the nasty responses from the seller.
Although I understand your frustration with being asked questions that you believe are answered in the listing, buyers using their phone can't always see the whole listing. And wouldn't you rather they ask questions before buying and before you ship than afterwards?
You don't have a return policy so they want to be sure of what they're buying.
It looks like he used 2 different IDs. (The other 2 negs within the year are different buyers.)
Although I don't agree with a buyer using multiple IDs, my opinion is that you earned those negs for cancelling the orders. He bought and paid for the items and you should have followed through on your obligations.

Your so right I am going to have to take some chances and think before I do anything rash, take more detailed pics an make sure I have covered all bases on the description, since I very rarely cancel a order myself I was very surprised he was allowed to give me 3 feedbacks on the one transaction, because he had been refunded fully, lesson learned, Thank you for your imput. Regards L

Yea I don't think I will get any of the Negs removed, I thought at least the canceled transaction negs would be removed, hard lesson to learn, but I hope they do look into him the different id's, addresses and buyer names are a concern. Thank you for your imput. Regards L

Did you cancel three purchases? If you used out of stock (which was the only one that applied frankly), then you need to check your dashboard for defects. If you aren't familiar with those, but at your selling number and experience I feel sure you should be, there is plenty out there to read about that.
