recently sold a used motherboard and the buyer says it was missing parts, i had in the description what it came with and the pics also showed what it came with. It did not have the NVME heat sinks on it which you can see in the pics and was not listed as coming with.
He is using the missing NVME heat sinks as a reason to return it threatening negative feedback if i don't accept a return.
What do you do in this case and what would ebay do? They have already put the funds on hold.
My only concern is ebay will give him his money back and i am out of a working motherbaord or he will send it back broken as he keeps making threats.

If Ebay steps in because you do not accept the return, the do not refund any of the fees. This is standard procedure and has been since the MBG was put in place.
The item is definitely NAD. All used items must be fully functional, it is not functional without the heat sinks.

Why should I ignore your post?
If you were misunderstanding his intention and came to the realization late then that's fine. We all make mistakes. 👍
But as I said "I don't understand". Care to elaborate on the point you were trying to make?
Based on eBay's policy if you
ACCEPT = No fee.
CONTEST and WIN = No fee.
CONTEST and LOSE = Fee. (Unless protected by seller protection)
What the person said was some sellers ACCEPT to avoid the gamble of the fee. This is a true statement.
But I'm willing to learn that this isn't the case. 🙂

If the person has hinted at, or actually threatened negative feedback I would contact a chat agent and tell them they are attempting feedback extortion. I had to do this after a woman gave me a veiled threat of negative feedback before an item had even been delivered after I told her she'd have to return it if she no longer wanted the item. She opened a case and then never returned the item. Her feedback was promptly removed. I would definitely talk to someone to have a record of their threats.

It isn't that. All I did was provide the various links to policies pages that supported the discussion. For whatever reason, you tool exception to that. I wasn't trying to argue anything, but you always do when it comes to a post I make.
Anyone that wants can review the links and then make an informed decision on what is best for them. It is fine if you take exception to that, I don't.
