Hello Community,
This return is very upsetting. When I sale my handbags l post the max amount
of photos. I add the height, width, length to the description.
Then I ask if you have any questions please send me an email.
I do everything in my power to avoid a return.
The other day I get a return and the reason is: I just didn't like it. The handbag
was bigger than what I wanted.
Why do I go to all the trouble listing every detail to get I just didn't like it?
In my book that is no reason for a return. That I consider buyers regret and the person should not be able to return an item for such a feeble excuse.
Sales are hard to come by & it's almost impossible to become a Top Rated Seller.
If customers are able to return items because they just don't like it, I feel the seller should have some say in the matter.
Especially when Priority Shipping cost 12.50
I would like to know how others feel about guarantee returns?
I understand if the item is damaged or not as described. Or if it doesn't fit.
But to return an item because I don't like it, it is no excuse to be able to make a return!

Well you do know that eBays money guarantee doesn’t cover buyers remorse right? “Just don’t like it” is buyers remorse so your return policy is what applies and if you accept returns then buyers can return for any reason including “just don’t like it”. If you don’t accept returns then again this is a buyer remorse return and eBay does NOT require you to accept this type of return.

Ok I just looked and you have voluntarily chosen to accept returns for 60 days. eBay doesn’t offer guaranteed returns so I don’t know what you mean by that? They offer a money back guarantee but it’s just buyer protection if the item is not received or it’s not as described. It excludes buyers remorse. Why do you have a 60 day return policy if you don’t want to accept returns? You need to switch to “no returns” and then you can decline all remorse returns.

Hi,
That's what I thought, before I got to say anything I get a message from eBay stating this return is covered by eBays guarantee.
On the bright side that handbag was too beautiful & way too expensive for the price that it was sold & it was on sale. Some people just don't know when they get a good deal!

Jen, With all due respect, I am not sure, but I think the OP means the new program where if you offer returns, Ebay automatically accepts the return if it is for a buyer's remorse reason and sends the buyer a label.
This program is relatively new, from sometime late last year, if I recall correctly.
Like many, OP may not realize that when you accept returns, you accept returns for any reason.

You will need to switch all of your listings to "no returns" if you wish to have no remorse returns.

Just a thought...you state when you SELL your handbags, you post the max amount of pictures, and add the height, width, and length to the description.

You don't mention here if your bags are new or used, but condition is a very important part of the description. Buyers don't want to just see pictures, or ask questions, and many will just hit the back button if important info is not included in the description.
It is possible that a buyer can miss an important detail in a picture, that is why it is so important, for your protection against a SNAD, to disclose pertinent info in the description.
Don't know if this applies to you, if not, my apologies, but many just list and say see pictures, and buyers pass them right by. It can look like see if you can see what is wrong, and if you can't, that's your problem, not mine.

OP, is this what you mean?
Automatic acceptance of returns
Beginning in October 2017, returns requests may automatically be accepted to make the returns process easier for you and your buyers. eBay will automatically accept a return request and provide a return shipping label to the buyer when the buyer pays for return shipping. If you offer free returns or if you’re required to pay for the return shipping label, automatic acceptance will only occur if you have not replied to the buyer return request within three business days.
Automatic acceptance allows buyers to ship items back to you quickly and efficiently, and get their refunds sooner. You will also save time and receive reimbursement for final value fees.
You can continue to control the efficiency of your returns process by creating rules in your return preferences to automatically approve returns or send immediate refunds without requiring the buyer to send the item back.

Its not a new program, its just auto-acceptance of remorse returns when the seller accepts returns. I don't think, based on the information given, that she's talking about auto-acceptance. Its having to accept the return, period.

OP. SO SORRY! I checked one of your sold purse listings and you are very thorough in your description. I couldn't edit the previous post, but I can say that it does not apply to you.
As fern*wood said, just change your listings to no returns if you do not want buyer's remorse returns, such as just didn't like it.

A 60 day return policy means a buyer has 2 months to decide if they want it or not - the reason is irrelevant. You have a return policy. They could change their mind on day 59 and you have to take the return.
You also have a 10% restocking fee for remorse returns on some listings. That should be enough to help cover the original shipping costs that you spent (free shipping)
What's the issue?
While you think your photos are good, there is a lighting issue. You need to get another pair of eyes on your photos and experiment with different lighting angles. Backlighting (sunlight through a window) really washes out your item details. You'd be better off with the sun behind you and the diffused light on the front of the item. Flash screws with color (ink blue bag). I don't know what color blue I'll be getting by your pictures.

@tigeress33009 Sellers who have a no return policy will have buyers who open SNAD cases. Then, the seller will get goods back that have been damaged. That is pretty much the definition of a zero-sum game.

You do post as pics, but your photo quality is very poor.
