eBay account restricted

Hello. We received the email at bottom from eBay since December last year. The interesting of this eBay never sent a previous email to request documents and verify. Now the account is restricted. We called via phone nd chat to eBay agents and all of them don’t see something abnormal in our account. I have almost a month in calls and nobody does anything. I don’t know if this is something irregular from eBay or who knows. I comment because they have our money held and we can’t announce products.

 

One of the agents said us they contacted the proper department. The grey department that never has phone number and is mysterious. A couple of days after the agent of eBay told me that the department said to remove the bank account and re-add again to trigger in eBay system an auto-verification. I did and nothing happened. Then after that the nightmare is that each time I contact the agents of eBay they say they contact that grey department and that I need to wait 24-72 hours for an answer. That department never answered anymore and the agents, supervisor, payments department they say is something unusual and they don’t know what’s happen. They affirm that the email at bottom is strange because they analyzed our account and indeed we never received an email to request us documents in the past. They don’t understand and they say us that that department needs to say a comment at least but is not happening. That department I say for me is gray because they don’t have phone number and now I confirm that some agents of eBay wanted to follow the case but they never received an answer from that department. Now all is silent and our money stopped and we can’t publish announces. The agents of eBay even supervisors they are only stuck in, if you call them, they send a message to that departmetn to say all is fine but nothing else. As is clearly even and endless loop.

 

Anyone experienced something similar or what is suggested to do? As I don’t know if this is something illicit from eBay or a big of the system I wanted to check first here for options. Because now if eBay is ignoring this to keep to make something not good now I’m checking options because we called all kind of agents or supervisors in eBay and they say is out of their hands because that department is not answering.

Double check the email address on the account. Ebay doens't mess around sending out those requests about requiring additional information. Double check all the messages in the ebay message system. If nothing is there, maybe something was deleted by mistake. If its missing, then reach out to ebay immediately & provide them the information that they need from you. Don't delay!!!

Just a follow up....reach out to the Customer Service agents on the Ebay for business facebook page. They are normally very helpful!!!

As I said there is no such email because I contacted the agents as I said on main post and even the agents they can’t locate the email in the supervisors system. That is the reason they try to contact that department what is the issue but the proper department doesn’t answer even to the supervisors of ebay itself. I made all possible and contact them and written in main post but eBay agents don;t have the answer of that higher department is very suspicious.

The payments they sent via automatic payout to my bank account and exactly that transactions you mention are held and were never sent to our bank the funds are there and I can’t withdraw. I don’t think eBay for that minimal amounts wants to keep the money but at this step who knows. Everything is possible. There are no answers from that departmetn to the supervisors that cause the supervisors can’t do anything.

Check main post. They say they requested information. We never received a request of information. As other user asked, the supervisors made a trace in my account to check for that message supposed requesting that and the eBay supervisors they can’t locate. eBay supervisors see all the messages and they agree there is no such message requesting information. I can’t provide anything because until know the ebay supervisors and us we don’t know what was the issue. That is why is suspicious. The more suspicious the supervisors request to the gray department a reason or what is required and that grey department doesn’t answer even to the supervisors. We can send any document but until now we don’t have a link to upload or a message and I don’t say this, this is conformed by the supervisors of eBay. They don’t understand.

Check your email spam box! Are you using a commmon financial institution as your bank or some small local bank? Sometimes, the typof bank matters when setting up your managed payments correctly. Keep on contacting the CS ebay agents from the Ebay for business facebook page. Try not using the CS agents from the platform. You need better expertise.

I take it that means you haven't.

 

Right now all that matters is that you solve the issue by complying, you could spend the next year going back and forth about a notice perhaps you missed or perhaps was never sent, still won't change a thing because nothing happens until you provide the information.

I read it to mean.........he doesn't know what info  Ebay wants him to supply......because he never got the lst email and CS can't see it either......

Seeing the price point of items that were recently sold, the letter could have been asking for proof of ownership. Sometimes going from low value items then a jump to high value items can trigger a notice for that information. Also, what look to be a time lag between current selling and past, could have put the account on the up to 30 day holds on payout for returning sellers. 

We don't know what if any payouts the OP has received for the sales between end of November and end of year. 

Big question, did the OP call a number they found on the web or use the call back going through Help/contact?
