Hello,
Friday my sales began to tank - after looking more into it, because I began to receive numerous emails from international buyers asking for quotes I found out the following:
- I was migrated to eBay international shipping
- I had to turn off any other international shipping option
the result: 95% of my listings no longer have the international shipping option & Customers new & past are messaging me that I no longer ship to them.
I’ve submitted 2 tickets and IT has no idea what’s going on.
As a workaround I opted out of the program - global shipping is no longer available so my only option is eBay Standard International which is a disaster and shouldn’t be used and the usps and ups options. I then opted back in, and the same items showing that they ship International under the usps and ups int’l shipping now again don’t show the option to ship internationally under this new program.
Any visibility on this ?

I have made U.S. sales on 28 of the 33 golf club items I have listed since the fall of 2022. The 5 that remain are older clubs with lower prices. Even if EIS creates more interest (listing views), the higher cost of international shipping is an added deterrent to sales of these older clubs. During the brief time EIS was active I did see some small increases in views (presumably from international buyers), but no sales. I realize that my situation is different from that of higher-volume sellers, but even with higher volumes I don't believe the hassles of the poor EIS implementation (and support) would be worth it to me.

I am having the same problem, I just opted out of the (EIS) program, I hopefully I can send invoices now.

I stopped using EIS. Too many items get lost, we the seller have to jump through hoops to get our money back for items Ebay have lost at their own centers! They do not make filing a claim easy. You have to screen shot message and details which should be linkable since it is Ebay's own application!

when is eBay going to allow buyers/sellers to COMBINE ITEMS into a single order that can be shipped using the New EIS international shipping app. ??????

Nobody knows but in the relatively brief time that EIS has been available there are literally dozens of features that have desired by sellers that have been added to the program.
The ability to handle multiple items will come at some point.

Wasn't it requested with GSP and it never happened? How long was GSP available?
From a Canadian perspective many would like the ability to filter by shipping method and weed out EIS.

I will say this much about this program here I see nothing more than it being a huge nightmare take for example I sell on eBay vintage video games, okay and I never sell anything to anyone outside of the USA. So when I noticed this on the shipping label I contacted the buyer and I simply asked them hey man is this your address cause I have not ever seen this before and he said to me that buyer if you have sent it there you need to intercept it cause I don't live there stupid and you lost money and I said to the buyer let me find out what this is no need to call me names when I am simply trying to find out who is receiving the package and that you get your actual video game sir. And well he continued to call me nasty names and well I couldn't reroute it back to me at all. As well as get this USPS tried to make a delivery to today and they failed they said they will make another delivery attempt tomorrow so I honestly see nothing more than I lawsuit happening with eBay over this program if you don't sell anything internationally then they shouldn't have overridden your ruling and sent this item internationally and because of this program this fire left me a derogatory feedback rating by saying moron this person isn't moron and I would never buy from them again so for me wanting to verify that he would actually receive the Vintage video game I'm a moron. Seriously I will say this to I would like to know how do I remove his nasty derogatory feedback I have blocked his account and furthermore I'm halfway to still terminate my entire account with you eBay because it's no stupid policy it ain't back the hell up and respect people who sell on their goddamn platform and not send anything to anyone unless they reside in the USA if I sell anything outside of the USA then why impose this situation to fit your needs eBay. Cuz what will end up happening here is eBay's going to lose the package because they're not going to be able to keep up with the situation and you're going to end up losing your product as well as the money you're going to have to refund on fire and who's to say that eBay doesn't put down that that item was sent to the buyer and they think they lost it or screwed it out up and well you have to refund the buyer and this whole time to buy receives that item so I see nothing more than a nightmare happening here and one thing eBay does forget though is anything you say on eBay there's certain rules that they have to follow through the Federal trade and because it crosses federal state lines you can do alot more might take for example is derogatory commit to me if I wanted to I can have a Canada police officer arrest him now if I want too and eBay will say it can't happen but this is just it though it can be happen I was a police officer in the military and I have had it happen before so that being said I sure hope ebay removes his feedback because he was a rude person who really needed to be knocked upside his head for the vast level of rude comments I received from him and all I did was try to verify his address so he would actually get it so eBay stop trying to be like Amazon you're not Amazon you're half eBay now.

You have absolutely no understanding how the program works.
1) You didn't ship internationally, you only shipped domestically. Just like any other domestic buyer.
2) You aren't responsible for anything once it gets to eBays domestic address.
3) You should try and understand how things work before talking to a customer.

From the perspective of a buyer who is based in Canada and used to typically buy a lot from US sellers, eBay International Shipping (eIS) only works in the rare case of buying a relatively low weight yet expensive item, and a single item only, paying for one listing worth in say the $100 range or more while buying nothing else. Then eIS works for that $25 shipping charge or whatever it is whenever it's reasonable in proportion to the overall value of what is being bought. So for an expensive item when you're buying absolutely nothing else, for a once in a blue moon purchase, eIS can rarely work.
Most commonly however eIS is an unaffordable disaster due to the lack of combined shipping when you're dealing with multiple lower-cost items from the same seller. As a buyer in the past this was typically how I used to buy most of the items that I purchase off eBay. You add 8 or 9 affordable items to the cart all from the same seller. It could be collectibles, cards, craft supplies, whatever you name it stuff that is in roughly the $1 to $20 range. Buyer is thinking, "Ok I'll buy everything from the same seller to save on shipping."
So you've got 9 items in the cart. With eIS you go to pay and find yourself slapped with a $14.49 shipping charge on EVERY SINGLE ITEM in the cart. If you've got 9 different items in the cart--items from separate listings but from the same seller--this amounts to a $130.41 shipping charge for more or less $50 worth of light weight inexpensive stuff. At this point the buyer either completely gives up and looks elsewhere or else says, "This can't be right" and contacts the seller only to get into a confusing headache.
Sellers especially US sellers that ship to Canada are still clueless about how high the shipping cost is when you order more than one item with eIS. Apparently invoices can't be requested or sent, shipping costs on sales that the buyer has already paid for can't be amended, and it's overall a nightmare to deal with. You contact a seller about the outrageous shipping cost and they say "I DO offer combined shipping just add everything to the cart before you pay" but buyers are already doing this.
Combined shipping simply doesn't work for eIS and sellers in the US are apparently still in the dark about it. To make matters worse, so many people still confuse GSP with eIS when they are two totally different systems. At least with GSP it did combine shipping costs to some extent. The shipping cost with GSP was on the high side say $50 to $60 for 4 items from the same seller on average. If the items where high enough value, with GSP, the shipping cost could still be justified in many cases.
People did hate GSP for its overall high shipping cost but it still wasn't as insane as eIS is now. eIS compounds even worse than GSP ever did the more items you buy per order. Once you're buying 5 or more items the shipping charge with eIS easily reaches $100 or more in most cases which is outrageous in relation to what the overall value of the stuff is. No sane person is going to pay $130 shipping on $40 of stuff. I've had to cancel many orders and walk away from purchases because of eIS.

Well, it's 2024 and the Ebay International Program is still ripping off international buyers from US sellers! It may be the only place in the world that can't combine shipping! I only deal now with US sellers using good old USPS as they can still combine shipping or the knowledgeable US buyers who know to cancel my multiple "wins" and put them in ONE LOT for me - which can then be shipped (remember, same items, same weight - figure that out...) through the Ebay program for ONE price. If a US seller won't do this and expects Canadian and other buyers to pay EXTRA FULL SHIPPING on something that quite frankly would be combined anywhere else in the world or stores, then I know to avoid them because they don't care that Ebay is overcharging their international buyers. And please don't buy the hype that Ebay takes care of all "customs" etc. because both the US and Canada post offices do as well and always have and they ship faster because it's shipped directly to customer not first to a US location and then another international one (which the buyers also pays for). For the extra price to your customer also comes extra time. I get things literally from almost any other country in the world faster than the times I have paid for EIS. Please US sellers - help out your international buyers! No international buyers are going to buy your 6$ item when a 25$ shipping is attached to it let alone two 6$ items that can't be combined! (yup under Ebay International, they would expect the customer to pay SEPARATE shipping so do the math - 12 dollar sale, 50$ shipping = find another seller who cares about their customers.
