I opened a dispute as a seller sent me two tablets for my kids however one of them was used not new as described and the OS was bricked, long story short the seller delayed me for two weeks on a decision for a repalcement when I urged him that I needed these for christmas, he finally conceded to a refund not replacement which meant I would have been stuck with only one tablet for twin girls, instead I paid out of pocket to have a computer shop reimage the tablet. I did not return anything and the case was closed in the sellers favor but lo and behold not only did they cide with the seller but they removed the ngative feedback I left! What does one have to do with the other?
This is a huge breach of ethics! Never would have I imagined this could happen! No now I have to question wether any seller truly has the feedback rating displayed or has the many negatives been erased by eBay? This feedback channel to me is used to let other buyers know what happened, quality issues and mostl importantly MY EXPERIENCE AS A CUSTOMER! This particualr seller even offered to bribe me with $10 to remove the feedback and I refused due to my strong ethics then eBay goes and does this! I am sorry but after 20 years on eBay this is just plain wrong and my buying habits are gonna shift big time.
When I contacted eBay they assured me it was a "technical error" which I didnt believe as this is the email I received.
Hi Rxxxxx,
Recently, you opened an eBay Buyer Protection case for Asus ZenPad S 8 Z580C-B1-BK 8.0'' 1.33GHz Atom Z3530 32GB Wi-Fi Black Tablet. We also received the feedback you left for the transaction, but it's been removed from the seller's feedback profile because of a recent decision on the eBay Buyer Protection case.
You can always view the case details in the Resolution Center or learn more about eBay feedback policies.

Oh, forgot to add that many of us on this particular board ARE sellers... well, many who don't sell much or often, but still keep up with that end of it. Quite a few are NOT sellers here either, but I'd say most either are currently or have been a seller in the past.
BUT, most of us are ALSO buyers on eBay, so know it from that end as well. Ebay has been my go-to site for shopping for years and years!!! Most of us only transitioned to selling here after having been a shopper here for quite awhile.
So, you can certainly say ".....now I get it! You guys are all sellers! ....." but you could also say, ".....now I get it! You guys are all BUYERS....." and that would also be correct, and why we balance BOTH sides to transactions.

eBay has the authority of removing feedback knowing the fact you bought the item from eBay website, simply the answer is yes they can remove it. This is a 1 time courtesy only for the seller. And can't be done any further for any future transaction. This is not eBay's fault it's your fault for not asking eBay to step in your case. eBay could've helped you further. Now you're blaming them. Funny.

@bay$-- so you did not get the response you were hoping for so all sellers are bad on ebay? Yea that makes total sense. If you had followed the proper actions, you would not have needed to make this post to begin with. Secondly, I am sure it is fine you are saying goodbye (probably like many others still on this site have said in the past when they did not get their way), because most sellers reading this probably set their account so you can't buy from them anyway after reading your stellar feedback left for other sellers. GTG, I have something I have to do now.

I don't know where you are getting your information but you need to look for a better source because it is wrong. It is NOT a one time courtesy for eBay to remove feedback when a buyer loses a case.
