drop shipping from Amazon Prime

An eBay seller is selling items with pictures which are my intellectual property. They do not have my permission to use my pictures or sell this item. The item is handmade by me, and no one else makes it.

The eBay seller scraped my listings off Amazon Prime, and I assume they plan to drop-ship from Amazon because they're not in actual possession of these items. From the eBay article on drop-shipping, "However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay."

I sent a Cease and Desist letter to the seller and they haven't replied. Is there a way to file a complaint with eBay?

Re: drop shipping from Amazon Prime

You can call eBay CS and let them know about the violation of your pictures and also of the drop ship policy and ask them how to handle this situation.

Re: drop shipping from Amazon Prime

How do you know the seller will use their prime account to ship? Couldn’t they be using regular amazon shipping?

This guy has a pretty interesting story.

I also just looked. It is still available on eBay.

Re: drop shipping from Amazon Prime

Simple, recently, March 19, 2019,   received a package that I bought on eBay.  It  came in an AMAZON printed  box with Prime taping.   Had no prior  knowledge.  But it wouldn't make a difference  whether i would  buy it or not if I knew.  The taping was not so good (partially  stuck) & the box was  rather large ~6-7" cube, full of air pillows  for a small fuel cap no more  than 2" (dia) x 2" (high) for my chain saw but received what I ordered,  have no issues how it got to me.  My total price w/ free shipping $6.85 - OEM part, that is what I wanted price was good - not a China will fit.

Re: drop shipping from Amazon Prime

I understand how a buyer would know the seller is stealing Prime. I would report them. I was asking how the OP knew the scraping seller was shipping Prime.

You know they’re stealing prime when there’s a gift receipt.

Re: drop shipping from Amazon Prime

what about the sellers who use amazon for inventory management.. I know for a fact some larger sellers who sell on amazon and ebay  ,, amazon stores their product and ships it for them,, obviously ,  amazon charges the seller for these things.. but The seller certainly isn't doing anything wrong..

I think amazon uses amazon prime tape on all of their packages...

but yes,, if it has a gift receipt that would be an indication that they did use their amazon prime account fraudulently.

How would a seller know if another seller's buyers are getting gift receipts?

Re: drop shipping from Amazon Prime

My Prime and non-prime items have slightly different wording in their titles.

Re: drop shipping from Amazon Prime

I read this article when it came out several years ago. It highlights one of the big problems with sellers who scrape a listing to drop-ship and raise the price 25% --- returns.  The buyer gets an item with Amazon packaging, my business card and my Amazon shop URL. If they check out the A shop, the price difference is noticeable and I'm stuck with the cost and time for their return.

Re: drop shipping from Amazon Prime

Thanks! I'm trying to figure out how to do that. When I went to eBay Help. The only option under Contact Us was a phone call --- what, no email? --- and the call topic menus didn't have anything related to this.  I'll look again, maybe I missed something.

Not necessarily, although that might be the most likely explanation.

I have a non-prime business account with Amazon, and I routinely receive orders I have made in an Amazon box with prime tape and a gift receipt. I use multiple accounts and lists to keep track of items, and the gift receipt is a result of using a public list from another account to add the item to my cart. There is a pre-checked checkbox to indicate if the item is a gift, and if I fail to uncheck that box, a gift receipt is included in my order.
