discussing loyalty program for private sellers

Hi
I have been a private member of eBay since 1996 - buying and selling on a regular basis - with almost 500 positive feedbacks.
According to eBay I am still a "raising star"! After almost 30 years with eBay I think "red giant" would be a more fair describtion!
Allow me to suggest some form of reward - preferably in the form of lower selling fees - to eBay oldtimers with high feedback ratings.

Those were the days when you received e-mail from Pierre himself!

Kind regards - ypens

Oh my, almost 500 positive feedback ratings?

How are they to distinguish you from sellers with feedback in the hundreds of thousands but in a shorter time?  How are they to decide who is "worthy" of such a blessing?

Honestly, I'd prefer we were all treated equally in this regard, with a fair system that simply looks at your current status as it does now.  How long you've been around and how much feedback you've amassed is mostly irrelevant.

Quality over a long period of time - NOT quantity!

"Rising star" is just one of the posting levels on the board---has nothing to do with your buying/selling numbers.

@ypens, you are registered in Sweden, and your item locations are shown as in Denmark.

If you were to list items for sale on eBay UK, as a private seller, you would not have to pay any selling fees at all. That's a very good loyalty program for you.

Re: discussing loyalty program for private sellers

I'm all for that!  I doubt it would ever happen though. There really isn't much incentive to keep sellers around. I only do it because I am in the process of cleaning out six storage sheds between my own stuff and my parents' estate.  I do well, between Ebay and antique malls, but it's getting old (been in the business since 1985, on Ebay since 1999).  It's not that fun any more.  I hope to be done with it in five years or so. Then what's left will go into a big sale or auction. I don't want to spend the rest of my life at it. Like I said, not much incentive.

With only 289 selling feedbacks in 28 years, I would doubt that Ebay would give you an 'atta boy".

LOL, ok..but your sales look like pretty typical price range Ebay sales.

You have an absolutely ordinary, older account. I don't understand why you think you deserve a reward or recognition.
