Looking for an ebay seller in northern Illinois that does consignments. I need an experienced seller to do all the work for a commission. I would like a local seller so that I can drop off my items.

I cant imagine you will find anyone to do this for you.
You should look for a local company that will do consignment or buy your items out right.
Try also estate sale companies in your area.

Are you willing to hand over all the goods, and pay the seller about 40-60% of the profits after you have paid all the eBay fees, which themselves run in the neighbourhood of 15-20% of the entire payment (including shipping costs and sales taxes)?
You'd be better off to hire someone as an employee and keep it simple. About $25 an hour would be a reasonable rate.

Depending on the value of your items it's going to be really tough to find what you're looking for. If you have high value items you'll have better luck finding someone because there will be more profit - although there will also be more risk.
Sellers are hesitant to take items on consignment because:
- Tax implications
- Amount of return/fraud and the long (6 mo) window buyers can file a claim, depending on their payment source
- Owners of the inventory value their items too high and/or don't want to give up a big enough piece of the pie to make the time investment worth it for the seller
If your inventory is standard estate items (or leftover new product from a business you shut down), you'll have more luck finding someone to purchase your inventory outright, priced low.
If you want to search for someone to take on this task I suggest looking on local forums and make sure you establish a contract that outlines all the details of what's expected from both parties.
Good luck.

We brought some stuff to a local consignment shop last year; they took 60%. Another local shop takes 50-80% depending how long the item sits, and if it doesn't sell within 6 weeks they give it back to you or offer to dispose of it.

We could do it, but we're in Central Wisconsin.

You need to look locally/ off the ebay site.
Ebay has no avenue to connect you unless you actually LIST the items and sell to someone.
Bartering is not allowed. Neither is exchanging personal contact information.
