Hello, will someone tell me how I can get clothing and old jewelry authenticated and find out the value before I sell it. thank you.

You can't. What you can do is search for your item (put in keywords) and then scroll down and click 'SOLD' items on the left to get an "idea" what others have been able to see for.

     That's a pretty broad question. For most things it's a matter of doing your own research as  

stainlessenginecovers   mentioned. For some higher dollar clothing and jewelry eBay does have some authentication programs.

Those are among the skills required to succeed at selling those items on Ebay.

You will need to develop them or hire someone who has them.

Succeeding at selling on Ebay is not easy, no matter what the youtube video says,

EBAY authentication service is to protect the customer from counterfeit items and also that item is quality "as described" by you.   Always best to understate and over deliver.

If you want to know value of your jewelry you can go to local appraiser.   Or you can check "sold prices" on EBAY to see what item it selling for.

Sellers  need  to know  the in and outs  of the products  the are selling.  For  example there  are no international size standards for  clothing  items i.e. that a means not all  label size L are of the same size and for  certain not all body shapes/profiles  are the same.    Jewelry  is a world that  most newbees need to stay away from  - a lot fake  stuff on the  market - especially  in the gold and precious stones arena and  certain brand names like Tiffany, etc.   Appraisers don't  do it  for free.

Appraisal services are not cheap.  @fosteringwithlove  would have to have some inkling of what she has before considering hiring an appraiser.  Depending on what OP has, it might not be cost effective to pay someone to tell her what her stuff is worth.
