Did you mean:

anyone else's external site views going through the roof?

Views in general have been going up this last week, but external site views in particular have skyrocketed.  Up 350% over the last 30 days.

Anyone else see this?

Yes, I am seeing similar reporting. My external views are are up 285%. Too bad sales are not up proportionally

Nope, they flipped the switch and my stores off now.

Just curious...are you using the new Social page to share listings? I have been using this more in the past month, so maybe it has something to do with that? Previously I just shared from the listing page.

Nope.  Mine went up a tad between 7/27-7/30, but they are still a very tiny percentage of my views.

My externals are now doubling my internals and I use promoted listings. It's quite odd.

My sales are up 70% this quarter.  That's a great thing, and I'm busy.  It's a full time gig for me though so I'm still only working 4-6 hours a day.  It's physically tiring though.  This morning I had someone come by and pick some stuff up but it was in the back of my storage and I had to move a lot of heavy stuff to get to it and I'm wiped.

I didn't even know that was a thing.

I guess I can rule out the Social page as the cause for large increases in external views since you are not using it yet and are also seeing large external view increases.

The Social page is new. You can access the page under the Store tab in Seller Hub. Here is a link to the Guide for the Social page in case you want to try it out https://pages.ebay.com/stores-social-page-help/

I have no idea what is going on with this increase in external views. Most days for the past month or so external views have been up 200% - 300%. I had one super high external view day on July 22nd. External views that day were up almost 817% over June 21st. Since I am not seeing an increase in sales, the increase in external views reported seems like there may be an issue with the data not being reported correctly on my traffic graph. That is just a guess on my part.

ETA Glad your sales are up!

Re: anyone else's external site views going through the roof?

I have had these odd crazy jumps in external site views off and on for over a month.  The odd thing about it is, days later this number drops a ton on your graph. Like 250 drops down to 60 etc. Well I just had a 800% spike in around a hours time.  Average full days worth is like 40 views, I just had a 300 view pop.

And I bet in a few days on the graphs it will correct down to a much lower number. This is actually a very bad thing , it drops your sell through rate down during the inflated view count. And I think Ebays algos uses sell through rate quite a bit.
