Why does it keep asking for my password? Why does it think this is a new device?

I cleared my cookies, but it's doing it again... It asks for my password when I navigate on the site. I can see my active listings and orders and stuff, but my payments screen is pooched and I have gotten now a dozen emails telling me that a new device is using my account (but it's me, I just gave it my password two minutes ago.. I'm not using a new device, it's the same device and I've put my password in over 25 times now in the past hour).

Help please?

C.

No wonder we are not getting any sales. Buyers must be going through the same thing and then leaving the site. This is unacceptable to the max. Fix it!!!

It was doing it to me to so I cleared everything in history, cleared all web data to, closed browser. Then I opened a fresh browser and re logged into everything. That seemed to have fixed it. Also clear the cache and cookies. And send me some cookies to please...

It won't let me sign in....  It keeps showing this message below.  I thought I fixed it the other day - got it working again - but this is back again.  I'm not a bot.  They're messing something up, and if I can't ship I won't be happy.

Pardon Our Interruption...

As you were browsing eBay, something about your browser made us think you were a bot. There are a few reasons this might happen:

  • You're a power user moving through this website with super-human speed.
  • You've disabled JavaScript in your web browser.
  • A third-party browser plugin, such as Ghostery or NoScript, is preventing JavaScript from running.

I had problems yesterday (9/1) with frequent requests to sign on.

I am not having them today.

Ebay glitch, I suspect.

It was a site wide bug, I called in and reported it.

I got that when trying to look at transactions from the Payments screen. (Might not have been the exact same error, but red banner and "we can't do this" none the less.

I haven't done a whole lot on the site today, but from what I have done, there haven't been any bugs.
