Literally half the threads on here are people complaining about the seller hub and managed payments like it was something brand new and foisted upon sellers.
They completely ignore the already 100+ threads and have to make a new one for no reason.
Seller hub was announced in the eBay Fall update of...2015, over FIVE YEARS AGO. I have not used the previous iteration in over 3 years.

Managed payments was announced around November of 2018, nearly three years ago. Notifications get sent to sellers giving them ample time to register and switch over.
I'm surprised to STILL see threads on "shipping final value fees", FVF's on shipping were added in....2011.

I would give my opinion about why people keep starting new threads, but it would probably be perceived as violating one or more forum policies.

Because they just "land" here and start typing...............reading or searching for the answers (google is your friend and pulls up these discussion boards - at least they used to) would be too easy, take too much effort.
Besides - they aren't looking for an "answer". Most of those threads are the "vent", "rant"....whatever you call it.
We were selling here in the fall of 2015 - honestly do not remember it being that far back...fall of 2018 into 2019, maybe...but not all the way back to 2015.

The other ones that are amusing are "I've been an eBay seller for 20 years, and now (due to some very minor issue), I am quitting for good!" I wonder if these are the same people who find a $100 item misplaced on the shelf at Walmart and make a fit when it doesn't ring up for $11.98 and go "I'm never coming back here again!".

Same problem as buyers not reading listings and then complaining NAD.
I had proposed to Griff on a weekly chat years ago that ebay institute a mandatory reading comprehension test for all new ebay users. You can just imagine how well that was received!

Part of the problem is the increase in mobile traffic. People see an item, click add to cart and buy, and THEN only do they read anything.
I've sold things missing a small accessory and put ***READ!*** in the title, and then highlight the fact it does not come with an attachment, that the item works fine without it(example, a shop vac missing the brush attachment but includes all others).
Half the time, I get an email it has sold, and sometimes not 30 seconds later (not kidding) I'll get a cancel request "ooh sorry, didn't see it doesn't come with it".
Like really? Your dopamine level is so low you can't take an extra 500 milliseconds to read the entire title and have to just run through the purchase process full speed ahead?

Everyone thinks that their post will be the post that forces change.

They create their own thread because they want to be heard.
If they tag on to a current thread chances are the readership has fallen and their voice will have less impact.
I find it disheartening to read how many sellers perceive Seller Hub as the worst thing eBay has done to them. I know it has been one change after another on eBay the past year but give it a chance. I've been using Seller Hub for 2+ years and after a couple of days of acquainting myself with the various options and configuring my SH landing page to suit my business needs, I find it works better for me than the old classic view.
That being said, change is often difficult and opinions should be voiced. However, eBay the corporation has instituted a business decision that eBay has stated is here to stay.
Hope you all find a way to make it work for you too.

Same here. A lot more customization and data at my fingertips.
I don't get how folks can think everything is going to remain the same forever. I'm not even 35 and it's amazing how much has changed just since I was a kid. We went from phones the size of a small brick to ones that fit in our pocket and take photos and allow us to browse the internet. The internet went from this extremely slow service over dial up to being able to download an entire 1080p movie in under a minute.
Even my parents witnessed the sudden change from black and white TV's to color, vacuum tubes to transistors, not having to worry about your car starting when it's cold outside, microwave ovens, etc.
Yet my dad still cannot operate his Dish Network remote. I don't understand how people end up that way. I promised myself that until I die, I am going to always stay on top of the latest tech and other trends. I don't want to be stuck in a nursing home trying to figure out how to turn on auto-wipe on my WiFi-connected toilet.
Some of you older folk can easily remember how Sears used to be "it". They were THE PLACE to buy something because of their gigantic selection and top notch customer service and return policies.
When the internet came out, Sears laughed at it. "People aren't going to want to buy stuff online".
They could of literally been the next Amazon, they already had the delivery and distribution perfected, all they would have needed to do was put their catalog on the internet.
Instead, they rested on their laurels and now Amazon laughs at the empty shell of what was once Sears.

Oh, is it Seller Hub they are upset about?
I hadn't seen any changes on the Sell Your Item form (either here or on eBayCanada) so I was wondering.
And no one was actually calling it anything but the Selling page in their titles so that confused me too.
Maybe if I bothered to read the rant.....

For many managed payments IS new.
1. You could NOT get on managed payments until ebay let you. Not everyone was "allowed" on all at once.
I was only allowed on managed payments about a month ago to spite trying to sign up sooner. I was told I had to wait until I got my invite. It appears that small and infrequent sellers were left to last.
2. Until you actually got on managed payments and got to actually use it, there was not a good way to know how it worked for you.
3. Since I have been on it, there have been frequent changes to the pages. I even got a message about how they are doing updates based on the recent complaints.
So what they announced 3 years ago was easily forgotten and has also changed quite a bit.

Great post. I enjoyed it. 😃

Nope.... Untrue
Perhaps for you not paying attention.
Get your rear in gear and pay attention. Come on...... 3 years ago and you're complaint is that you were clueless?
Sorry Charlie. Catch up!!!
