I have had this Antique Glass Lamp Shade Listed Since Nov 18, 2022. A search under Glass Lamp Shade & it is first in the list of 72,000 & they sell consistently. Why won't mine sell?

The first thing I see is you don't know the brand. Would really help in search. Only diehard collectors are going to scroll through 12,000 generic items like this. And they may recognize that it isn't worth what you want. Also, you say you don't know how old it is yet you call it Antique. It could be from 5 years ago. I would also say people probably don't break these covers often so it could take many years for needing a replacement and may not even shop on Ebay.

It's a very cute lamp shade. When I clicked your listing, I saw the lamp shade. However, when I clicked your name to look at all your listings, I don't see it. There might be something wrong with this listing if you aren't getting any lookers on it until now. Other than that, I would say that someone just hasn't fallen in love with it yet. Also, you are very insistent that you aren't responsible for any problems in shipping. This might put some buyers off, also, it's not true. Ebay will hold you responsible if there is a problem in shipping. Good luck.

@ourancestorsattic
Best guess is that it is NOT antique (common pattern used is ceiling fan lights), and overpriced as such. Ever use Google Lens?

You call it antique in the title, not antique in the Item specifics and description.........
Your "terms" are unfriendly............oft putting........

I Require Digital Image Proof Through Ebay Messages For A No Return Necessary Full Refund.
(don't know what that means?)

You are right. I see an exact match on sale on eBay for $15 with free shipping. That's got to be the reason it isn't selling.

I just found the exact one $6 / $6.09 shipping. See another for $5 / $6.26 shipping. Pretty much giving it away.

It's definitely not for a tabletop lamp. Someone else mentioned a ceiling fan shade and it also looks like a bathroom fixture shade or maybe a sconce shade. It is antique style but it's not antique.

There are not enough descriptors to bring eyes to your listings. For example: the listing has no references to its being frosted, with a ruffled edge, and an embossed beaded design.
It is overpriced compared to many similar listings. It is likely not antique and not a lamp shade, but a ceiling fan or chandelier shade.
I would also reconsider the category choice. You have it in a Collectible category, but not knowing its origin or brand, a Home & Garden category might be more appropriate and bring more eyes to the listing.

I have similar listed for $14.99 with free shipping. I've sold 2. You list as antique but state you don't know how old it is?
Probably not selling due too:
* pricing
* discrepancy in title and description
Good Luck!

There is no discrepancy. I always copy the title into my description.

I have no control over what happens once I ship anything. It is in the hands of shipping company which in my case is usually usps & these days that is always a worry. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay any & all customs costs & I have no control what the customs process does so I am not responsible for any problems they cause.

Sorry for your frustration. Very nice lamp shade in my opinion. My guess is why it's not getting any hits is because it's glass and shipping items that are fragile don't always make it thru what ever courier you use. Like another poster on this forum posted a while back, "If you mark it fragile or handle with care, to the courier it may read " Kick it like a football across the warehouse." 🏈
Hope things improve for you.
Happy Selling
