Which way would sell faster

I'm trying to quickly sell off alot of items from Goodwill that have been sitting in my store for a long time. I have 1200 items. 

Option A 

Put them all in Auctions 

Option B 

$2.99 plus shipping firm 

Promoting at the trending rate about 5% 

Option C 

$4.99 plus shipping or best offer 

High promotion at 20%

With 1200 items, why not try a bit of each.  Then, you’ll know what works best for these items.

B.   I am currently cleaning out because I'm running out of room fast. 

But then, I don't sell Goodwill  stuff.     But my vote is always cheap and I almost never ship for free.  Costs too much now.

Just know this; these items sat in a GW store for years because NOBODY wanted them.

Therefore, I doubt anything will 'move fast' by themselves. 

I would try to sell in large lots so another seller may buy and try to deal individually.

For all the effort, I would just donate the lot to a non-profit thrift store and take the tax write-off.

99 cent auctions with the lowest shipping price you can afford (actual shipping + all fees).

or

Put everything in  boxes, sell them for $0.00 with free shipping and deliver it yourself to the nearest GW or dumpster.

The former will take effort but bring in a tiny bit of cash, the latter and your life will be clutter free in just one day with minimal effort.

Am I the only one who has no idea how to suggest selling 1200 items when I don't even know what the items are?

If they are items similar to what you have listed now, and you want them gone, I'd have garage sale or cheap flea market and have a massive dollar sale.

My only thought is list at 9.99 with Free Shipping and 1% Promoted Listing. And Immediate Payment Required.

Take down every 30 days.

Relist as Sell Similar five days later.

Have something new every single day.

With 20% PL at $4.99 , you would get about $3.00 for any item that sells. Less since you will also be paying FVF on the shipping. About $2.75.
What is minimum wage in your area? Here it is 25c a minute ($15 an hour). If it takes you 12 minutes to photograph describe and upload an item that sells, you did not make any money on it.
If only half your items sell, you lost money on selling.
This does not include other costs like packaging, insurance, and occasional returns/refunds.

Donation for a tax credit sounds good.

Since you had stated the desire to sell 1200 items from the Goodwill store without any consideration for profit the .99 cent auction with free shipping makes much sense in order to attract bargain hunters. However, all the time spent on creating eBay listings and packing/shipping out 1200 items (assuming they sell) may not be worth it. I would consider grouping like-kind items into "lots" and charge the appropriate shipping cost. The reality is that many Goodwill stores already sell stuff on eBay. Perhaps consider selling these items at a yard sale. Good luck!

No one could ever possibly answer that question. How about list them all BIN for $89.99 each. How about start them all for $1 auction and free shipping? Actually the best answer is to just return them to Goodwill and claim as a tax deduction.

Cheapest price wins, BIN and RIP. Auctions are a nightmare of non payers.

It's pretty easy to just look at what the OP is talking about looking at their offerings.

Auctions are a pain and mostly irrelevant. 

$2.99 paying promotional and all the hassle of packing and shipping?  What is your time worth.

$4.99 plus 'high' promotional?  Waste of money.  Again, what is your time worth.

There's nothing wrong with your items, but many that I see are slow sellers or so supersaturated that it'll take forever to sell, so if you want to get rid of them fast, my suggestion is to write them out of inventory, box them up and donate.  Move forward in your life lighter and freer.

Selling items fast doesn't happen here anymore.  Low price will sell a little faster but in reality if you listed these all at .99 auction with shipping you wouldn't sell half and 80 percent would be sold at .99 cents.  Good luck

Have a  garage/yard sale - start it on a Thursday  vs the traditional  Fri/Sat, post a "free" ad on Facebook - reduced competition - more exposure, more time for  shoppers to spend their  funds on your stuff first..  We did last  fall - it worked well for us - my wife thought I was  crazy - until she counted the  Georges.  On Sat  (all day) we  offered & displayed on a poster board a discount = like spend at least $5 bucks get a 20% discount.  You  can talk people into spending for easy.
