I have been selling right along since January and now this week... absolutely no sales and very low views. Maybe they are giving up buying for LENT! Or is something wrong with EBAY"s System??? Any thoughts or maybe it is just me and my items..

I got a message from someone this morning saying that I was charging too much for shipping. I looked at my listing and it seems that ebay has mucked up my shipping costs, AGAIN.
The beginning of the year, I changed every listing that I charge shipping on, to my new rate. Didn't realize that if you just type in the first price, the additional field populates automatically. So, I went in a second time and redid every one of them to fix that and charge 0 for any additional purchases. When I went in today to check them, they are ALL back to charging again for additionals. I know it was ebay, because one of them had a little blue ! claiming that it had to adjust the additionals back, because there was only 1 available. They did something.
Might as well check out the comp sales while you are looking at them too.
The moral of the story? Check all of your listings and make sure that they are exactly how you want them to be. I know of two sales I lost because of that "glitch." Good luck to you.

Yes, eBay throttles listings.
That way eBay keeps all the blue widget sellers happy.
The sellers all make some money, but more importantly they keep listing and make eBay more money.
The buyer finds what they want at a cheap price because the sellers keep lowering their price to get sales.
Makes perfect sense.

General Post:
I think some confuse the fact that Ebay does hide some listings from a buyer's search returns sometimes. This is covered in the User Agreement. Sometimes because of the sheer volume of listings in the search return or a seller is under some kind of sanctions or likely any host of reasons that Ebay has. But this is not the same thing as what some are calling "throttling" here.

Or maybe they hide a sellers listing because it isn't that sellers turn to make a sale.

Funny you should say that, because for years 90% of my sales have come in between about 7:00 am and 10:00 am. That's it. Rarely anything later in the day. Started selling again after a 4 month hiatus...and the pattern is the same.

Mine always come in the dead of night and it doesn't matter if they are east or west coast. Very odd.

I'm a new seller but, I have had more order than this week. I hope they come back (the buyers).😄
@gloryglorygifts My orders also seem to come at night, how strange.🤔

Welcome! I too hope that your buyers come back and that you continue to grow. Good luck to you!

I agree 100% but everyone else says we have no idea what we are talking about. Guess they are making total cash because they have all the right stuff and are the greatest at everything. This is the reason I don't post things here much anymore cause all you get is know-it-alls who really just say stupid crap about things that they don't experience. I'm sure glad everything is rosy on eBay for them!

At least someone on here has their heads out of their... and knows what is really going on

I just don't like to hear people saying things are not as I say. I don't lie about the things that happen on eBay but every time you defend them if it were your family. I welcome constructive criticism but all I get from you and others like you are the same crap that it's my fault and I don't know what I'm doing. Someone once said, If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all! Might be good advice for you.

I don't think anyone said that. But clearly you don't want to hear other ideas. I wish you well and hope your sales pick up to the level you desire very soon. Since in the last 90 days or so, you've sold almost 1,000 items.
You are likely correct, if you only want to hear from those with your point of view, this is not likely the best place for that to happen.

I get it. Your point of view is the only point of view you are willing to consider.
I'm not defending Ebay or anyone. I posted some facts. It is for you to deal with them or even believe them. I provided a link too. But again, for some totally entrenched in their own point of view it is extremely difficult to see anything else.
" If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all! Might be good advice for you." An interesting statement. I don't call people names, none of that kind of stuff, ever. So I take it that the "nice to say" part means, that if I have different info to share, keep it to myself. No other possibilities will be considered unless they agree with YOUR point of view.

Maybe Fox news saying we have about a 90% chance of recession? I don't know.
