Been selling on ebay for about 4 years. Within the last 6 months i fell below standards due to having to cancel too many orders that I couldnt find quick enough due to the move. I contacted ebay and was told its based on a year rotations. I cant post or revise any listings. They also removed over 1000 active listings. From what hes saying I am screwed because those defects wont fall off for a year and they all were recent. Feels very unfair making me considering cancelling account all together. Anything anyone can suggust I do to reinstate my account

If you were moving, I would have used Time Away and hid the listings until you were set up and able to find the items.
Not a lot you can do but sell a lot of items quickly to ofset the defects.

Sorry that it happened to you, but not unfair.
Standards must be met.

'can't revise any prices of your 2100 items currently listed ?
If you could I would lower prices to try to sell them so you can list others if that is possible.
Otherwise, 1000 items will hand around for a long time.

Sorry this happened, But a couple of things should have been done on your behalf, You should of used time away during your move, & your inventory should have been packed & clearly marked so you had no trouble locating it, It doesn't help you now, but it also isn't unfair it's just the rules, Good Luck whatever you decide.

Nothing unfair about it, you screwed up your account. Just don't make any more mistakes and the defects will fall off in due time.
You still have over 2000 listings up. That is a lot of work, doubt you will be leaving eBay. Hang in there, make some money.

Why didn't you try to protect yourself and your little business while you were moving? You had to know you couldn't keep up with orders in an efficient manner. Which is exactly what the Time Away function is for.
Your not knowing the requirements set forth for ALL sellers is not an excuse to try and get the rules not to apply to you.
Cancellations for being out of stock is one of the most harmful defects for a seller. I encourage ALL sellers to visit their seller dashboard a minimum of once a week to make sure they don't have anything sneaking up on them.

Now to get out of this the quickest is to try and increase your number of transaction so you can dilute the numbers. That is the only way out of this issue. So run a Discount sale, send offers, whatever it takes, but up your game on transactions. And DO NOT have anymore cancellations or other Defects.
Make sure your inventory is CORRECT. No more errors. Be absolutely sure you have the inventory that you are selling.
You can work out of this, but it will take you a bit of time to do it. We are all eval'd on the 20th of each month for the period ending the previous month. So keep an eye on that and your Seller Dashboard.

I know the cow is already out of the barn, but when I moved I ended all my listings. Then after the move, I only reposted each listing when I actually found the item. I didn't relist unless I had my hands on the actual item in case I suffered any "shrinkage" by the movers. I've moved many times in my life and have lost lots and lots of things every time. My husband still mentions his favorite leather hat that never reappeared after a move 20 years ago.
As far as changing your current situation, you just have to continue to make sure you don't get any more out of stock cancellations. I have seen people lose their account altogether by having too many cancellations. So you can be thankful you still have your active account. EBay doesn't like out of stock cancellations because it disappoints the buyers. You can use this time to go through your listings and make sure you actually still have every one of your items you have listed. Good luck.

Sorry to be a parrot, but hope you get the message...
When you are going to be away from selling, you NEED to put your Ebay account on "time away" and make sure your listings are not able to be purchased. Even if that means taking down all your listings..
I looked at one of your listings.. you have a 3 business day handling time, so if you didn't ship in the handling time that you have set up, you get a ding. Too many dings lead to restrictions

the ding was worst it was for cancelling out of stock which gets you out of ebay faster than the speeding bullet.
You sold here for 4 years already and you didn't pay attention to the Performance Tab? I encourage all sellers to know which are deadly defects not to get and check out your performance area..
