Buyer bought a Drive walker from me...FedEx punched a nice hole in the box, so the Buyer just assumed the walker was damaged. Requested return reason was a damaged item (obviously). eBay approved the return and charged ME to pay the return shipping. I received the walker back and found there is absolutely zero damage. I filed an appeal regarding the transaction and eBay said they are going to refund me the $31 they charged me for return shipping. That's great, but I'm still out about $51 on the transaction due to the expensive FedEx shipping that I cannot file a claim on because there's no damage! During the process, I offered to refund the purchase price of the walker and let the Buyer keep it...but THEY TURNED THE OFFER DOWN! Been selling on eBay 20 years...never been so frustrated with a transaction.

My lamest one goes back way before the returns went through eBay. I sell magazines and I once had a buyer ask to return a magazine. When I asked her what was wrong with it and why she wants to return, she replied that she had finished reading it and wanted to return it. I just told her I was not running a lending library and she couldn't return it if there was nothing wrong with it. She went away.

It didn't fit. Even though the size is in the title and description. I also recommend in my description to measure their wrists for a comfortable & proper fit.
It just doesn't matter. 🙄

I had a buyer return a set of underwear before because they were lace and had tags in them. They were not listed as "tagless" as there would be no way a lace pair of panties could be tagless anyway. They returned them. I blocked them because I found it ridiculous. 1 week later they went to buy the same set from me again and they couldn't because I blocked them. They sent me an email asking if I could unblock them and let them buy it again because they promise not to return them again. I didn't reply. I also had someone open a return for some candy that were individually wrapped. In the return they cussed me out because she knocked them on the floor when you opened them and smashed them all.

I can't land on just 1...
1. A lady got a sweater from me. Claimed it came drenched/totally wet and said there were no holes or tears in the packaging. Took about 5 days to send me a photo...then another 7 days to open a return. She sent it back to me and it was so musty smelling due to being drenched. Obviously I didn't send it drenched. In fact it was a very expensive and nice sweater. eBay stepped in and helped me out with this fraud.
2. Someone bought a sweater new with tags for the granddaughter who was pregnant. Granddaughter claimed it had a strong smoke smell and she saw hair all over it... I am highly allergic to cigarette smoke. They demanded a refund, I told them they had to send it back in order to get a refund. Finally they opened a return, sent it back, and it had one piece of lint that I could find and smelled totally fresh... again, eBay stepped in and helped me out this fraud.

Someone wanted to return a 5$ game (+3$ Shipping) because "they couldn't afford it." Likely a scam but seriously for less than 10$CAD you cant afford it? Pathetic lol. I refunded and blocked and went on my way. If you can't afford ten bucks then you cant afford to shop at my store lol

I didn't send enough yarn to complete her project---she said she needed 6 skeins. Unfortunately she bought 2 skeins from me and was livid.

I sold a vintage Hawaiian shirt. The guy opened a return as INAD. I asked him what exactly was the problem? He said there was a toothpick in the pocket! 😆. I approved the return, got the shirt back, resold it minus the toothpick.

(This is not me providing a lame return reason, just need to comment on the toothpick)

Oh come on! That's a free extra bonus item! I don't understand ... I've literally seen and even had a buyer complain once that they spent "good money" and are upset that I didn't send them a "Thank you gift like other sellers send" and they "could've bought elsewhere and gotten a thankyou gift!!"
So this guy got a freebie extra item and made a return over that? 🙄

Ours - "The ashtray smells of cigarettes"
One of our friends - not a return but request to cancel because "Ebay showed me cheaper one" - she said no and did non payer.
