What is going on with this garbage website?

I can't tell you how many items I have for sale that are selling consistently by other sellers, same condition, same or higher price often. I have best offer on my items, items are clean, great pictures, etc. This complete garbage. Am I not listing often enough? How stupid that this is a determining factor of why my item will sell or not? Shouldn't it be the particular item, quality of item, listing quality not all this other search algorithm, cassini and other internet scammy stuff! I feel like im spinning my wheels on this site........

It seems like literally everything I list, except for the most HOT items, I check history for comps before purchasing. See great sales history, everything you want to see, purchase item, list item with quality pics, price competitively and then item just sits seemingly forever or until i lower price significantly. I swear this garbage ebay sales history can't be trusted at all. The only items that sell quick any more are the hot items. And yeah i find those too but everything else is just a waste of time it seems.

And the problem is what defines a "HOT" item any more. It's so difficult to know what actually will sell quick. I'm SUPER PICKY about what I buy and have refined this over the years yet I still buy so much that just won't move. Yet other sellers continue to sell these same items often. Maybe they're listing more. Ridiculous reason to have a sale over another seller with the same item, same or better condition but less frequent listing. Just absurd!

So this is a "garbage website" because your items are not selling? OK.

There is likely no one who can *honestly* diagnose what the problem is. And though I experience the same thing, from time to time, I still feel that eBay is  one of the better  online eCommerce sites.  Now, with Covid-19 being the wild card, there is little to be second-guessed.  There are too many sellers, and not enough buyers, the Cassini search engine still uses a pair of crutches to get around, and what was hot, and sold easily, a decade ago, seems to be choking up the system nowadays.  As you intimated it would seem that some sellers listings seem to take grand exposure preferences over others.  I have also found that using a or best offer option is not a guaranteed get-out-of-jail-free card for the seller. Even offers, that most sellers would see as lowball and ridiculous, don't seem to be presented anymore.  Personally I think we are all chasing a ghost trying to find something to blame stagnant sales on, and there is l[ikely] no one thing. Cheap buyers? C-19? A less rgan failsafe search engine? A rift in the cosmic order?😊  We would all like to know so we could fix it.

I have over 1,400 listings, trust me, buyers have slowed their roll with spending over the last few weeks. Just the way it goes. Although I do agree with the Garbage part.

You have 34 items up...........you've sold 170 in the last 90 days.......how many did you expect to sell?

I checked a few of your items. Most are a little higher asking price than your competition. Also nothing is hidden. It is not an Ebay problem as they cannot force people to buy your stuff. Go back a research a little better. One of the most that stood out was you paperweight, it can be bought for around $25 with shipping. You want $50.

Consumer spending has been predicted to likely pickup significantly in the December holiday season from the current level.

Definitely someone who knows the ins and outs of Ebay. The OP can get much more sales if they listen to the help here instead of just complaining like some folks. 😀

That's funny because I've had 4 greats months & didn't take any of your advice.   🙂

Those sellers you're referring to may do more sales because they do more volume and have more repeat buyers that come back often, thus they have "locked" in a large amount of repeat business and sales.

Have you tried promoting your listings?  That is a great way to get more exposure and sales, it works for me!

Side note: I noticed you have a couple of duplicate listings. 373122916379 & 373122919551 as well as 373103783309 & 373103784216 appear to be the same item with different photos and slightly different titles. Not sure if you just have 2 of the same item, but seeing that would be a red flag for me as a buyer. As a seller, listing the same thing twice decreases the urgency of a buyer to get it before it's gone.

Your items are nice enough however outside of maybe the rubber boots it is all what my momma used to call 'luxury items'.  Folks now looking for necessities plus their $600 weekly windfall is bout to run out.   Shipping prices can also be a deal breaker.   Ebay is like tide.... in and out.
