Views and Traffic have tanked. Anybody else?

Anybody else seeing a huge drop off in views and traffic?  We were rolling solid for the month and suddenly the traffic has just dropped off big.  So far even today, we've listed 27 new listings and a total view of 1 for everything.

Apparently, ebay has changed how the item is viewed and they have removed all the "bot" views. I don't have any problems with this but literally, my items aren't being viewed at all anymore. I usually sell around 50k-60k worth of goods each month and I am down about 60-70%. Granted, after seeing this large slow down in sales, I have lost some motivation to list because sales have considerably dropped off, no views, etc. So it is very discouraging and frustrating. Yes, I know I sell high priced expendable income kind of items and right now the economy is not good, but ebay metalling with everything is making things a lot worse.

It's amazing to think there were this many "bots".  We were rolling strong all month long, and in the last 4 days have had next to 0 views, no traffic and less than $300 each day in sales.   There has to be something else going on behind the scenes causing this issue.

Start throwing offers out, ebay bucks kicked on today, maybe it will help?

Every single item we have for sale (over 4,000) has a Make An Offer option.  Only listings we don't have that on are the auction listings.  It's just a sudden, drop off a cliff, decline.  For the last 4 days now, we are struggling for any views, any offers and any sales.  It just died and before then, was rolling strong.

When did eBay re-issue EBUCKS? Last, I know they got rid of eBucks??

I’m so glad you guys are talking about this because I thought it was just me! I’m only a very small seller and I have items like Steiff that aren’t even being viewed like zero views! I went to make an offer on one item that I didn’t want to but I was just testing it it had some views and some watchers and when I went to make the offer it said I only had one interested buyer. Any updates on this it’s scaring me…

YES! My sales have been strong and mostly steady since December, with normal hills and valleys and about 10 days ago they fell off a cliff. As of today, nearly all listings I published on 5/14 - 5/15 still show 0 views, the rest have like 1 or 2.  A few of which are items that usually sell within a few days or pick up a handful of watchers. 

This isn’t the economy, or high gas prices, or the war, or summer slowdown. People were steadily buying and then BOOM, everything stopped. 

The only things selling for me this week are older listings with existing watchers through offers sent to watchers. My last sale was 24 hours ago from a 35% discount offer I sent to a watcher.  

I’ve lost motivation to list new things especially if they’re going unseen. I cut down to the bare minimum of 4 listings a day until this (hopefully) blows over.

Same here.  Something weird is going on with eBay.  Normally I have somewhat consistent sales.  Views and watchers seem to be off and on.... mostly off.  Sales are doing the same thing and I am getting very little response from the offers I have sent out.  The whole eBay site was down late on Friday the 13th.  Couldn't log on.  Everything seemed to be getting better for a while and now "poof" everything is back in the tank again.

I can give you a quick answer why alot of your views are gone. You have over 1000 followers and you would likely see many views instantly on a fresh listing. I do not think those count as a view now. The people with saved searches for a particular item used to count as well even if they they had not clicked on the listing yet. That is gone. I used to sell some GI joe items and would get 12-20 views in the first seconds it was listed, those are the saved searches and those dont count anymore. And they shouldnt. People will complain about the new format for views but I love it. Arrange your active list by most views and you see instantly which of your items are actually getting real views in the last 30 days. The results have surprised me.

If people are not buying at Amazon, Walmart and Target so the stock market is telling us this month that means sales will be slow. Has nothing to do with eBay.

Buyers are looking for unusual items or one of a kind and not something all the stores are selling.

Gold and silver anything are still selling. Same as postage stamps are still selling.
