When I click View Order Details on any computer or in any browser, it takes me to a page that says " It’s not you. It’s us. Our server is down, but we’ll have things back to normal soon. If you still need help, visit our help pages. ". This has been happening for more than a week for us. We have called support a bunch of times and the support folks in the Philippines just give us the run around saying "Don't worry, we are fixing it for you". Yeah right. They are just trying to get me off the phone. Really getting tired of having to chase down someone to fix Ebay problems. It's seems like there is some new problem every few months. 😞

Same thing for us, happening for 2 weeks now. Same runaround non-answer from support.

Every few months? I see glitches almost everyday. Some go away fast, some stay for months. It is the worst I have ever seen it.

Have you tried a different browser?...........if you are using mobile..........try a pc or vice versa.
Clearing cache can work on some things.
just suggestions.

Not sure about you aabalat_fine_and_rare_wines, but for us, if we can't get to the View Order Details page we can't enter the wholesale cost for the items we sell. This messes us up for our reports we pull at the end of the month showing profit. I am glad to know that I am not alone, but I am sorry you are running into the same problem. I wish I knew what the problem was and if eBay will actually fix it for us.

Still not fixed and 6 more days have gone by.

Did they ever get it fixed for you? Still down here. Did a chat with customer service today about it since we contacted them first back on April 30th. They told us and I quote "It has already been escalated, so the option now is to wait" when we asked how much longer it might be.

What page are you starting from?
Often there is more than one way to perform various tasks -- if one method is not working, there may be an alternative page that you can start from to get to the information you need.

Thanks for the help eburtonlab. Unfortunately it appears that eBay changed the View Order Details page to no longer include fields like actual / net cost of item and shipping cost of item. Why they did this, I have no idea. But it only makes life harder for folks like us who relied on those fields in monthly reports.

Good morning aabalat_fine_and_rare_wines
Did you see the new View Order Details page? It no longer has the fields for Item Cost and Shipping Cost. Those fields are gone. So sad. We utilized those fields.

Not sure if their "fix" is the new pages we are seeing, it appears they just changed the link to go to another page that we could already see.
I called support (and I use that term VERY loosely) and asked for the third time about the issue. They again told me it was being worked on but for now I should have everything I need. I asked them how I adjust the shipping cost? How do I change the carrier? How do I change from shipping to local pickup? They were unable to answer any of these questions. The support rep said we should just cancel the orders. OK. We have been canceling the orders at around the 5 day mark before the non-paying bidder case would kick in. Par for the course around here.

I hear exactly what you are saying. eBay support has pretty much become useless. I think the tech support folks are there just to calm people down and make empty promises that will never come true. I have tried all sorts of Google searches to come up with a phone number that will get me to some sort of eBay support here in the USA, but have come up empty. eBay forces you to be routed to the Philippines for support and the support folks there are poorly trained.
i think we are out of luck with the View Order Details Page. eBay has gotten rid of the page we needed and replaced it with something that is basically useless to us. Just another downgrade for us eBay store owners.

I hear you. We have been moving away from ebay for the last few years as its just getting to be too much to deal with. We moved some product lines completely off ebay and of the remaining few items, only 12% of sales have been through ebay this year with everything else being through our direct website. Last year it was 16% of sales, its going down each year although reading through these forums it seems like everyones sales here are down.

Our sales are down as well. eBay has decided they will allow foreign sellers (China mainly) to flood this platform with items that drastically undersell our items. Many of the overseas sellers have learned to create eBay accounts, falsely claiming they are located in the USA. I see this sometimes when ordering items on eBay. It arrives China Post or EMS, but was supposed to be coming from New York. Our business is primarily new Clutch Kits for Motor Bikes. We design them here, but have a manufacturer in China that makes them for us and ships them to us. eBay sellers located in China copy our designs, create an eBay account (saying they are located in San Francisco, etc.) and then ship the clutch kit they purchased direct from the manufacturer to US buyers. They add a very small mark up fee because the cost of living in China is much lower than ours. They don't have to deal with huge costs up front to buy the merchandise in bulk, Expensive shipping via sea liner, Customs Fee's, Customs Broker's Fee's, Tax and freight cost to get it from the Port of Seattle to us here in Roseburg, Oregon. After all of that we still need to box a kit up and ship it to a customer here in the USA. It's a loose, loose situation for the small businesses here in the USA. I think you have the right idea of selling via your web site. No 12% fee, no competition underselling you on the same page as your listing (like eBay now shows at the bottom of the screen), No auto cancelling your listings for no obvious reason and No changing the Order Details Page on a whim without some sort of truthful explanation. I need to get my own web site going.
