Undeserved negative feedback

Sunday evening buyer bought a dog dress stating she wanted it within 7 days.Monday morning i made an extra trip to post office. Wednesday buyer wanted to know where the dress was. It was shortly after the Easter holidays so I said there may be a backlog. Thursday buyer messaged - I said I had proof of postage and try to contact her postal sorting office. Friday buyer became nasty stating she knew her postman and he did not have a parcel. I replied stating hopefully Saturday post . She left negative feedback saying item never arrived, seller did not help - avoid. This all happened in 4 days.

I contacted Ebay to read my messages to prove I tried to help. No response and negative feedback is still there. I refunded the buyer in full.  She took her anger at the lost packet out on me. She left it very late to buy her dog a dress for a party it was going to. What next!

Did tracking say Delivered? What did eBay say?

Re: Undeserved negative feedback

Does the U.K. have package tracking?  Have you received proof of delivery from the post office?

This buyer was a nightmare from the beginning.  Once you shipped the sale, you had NO CONTROL over the package.  Your buyer was unreasonable to place her lack of planning on your shoulders.  Did you refund her after she left that negative?  I would never have refunded her without making her return the item.

If you have proof of when you dropped the item at the post office and proof of delivery, and it falls within your stated terms, you could try to speak with an ebay CSR again and tell them that she demanded terms outside of your listing, which is a reason to get feedback removed.  You might be able to get the negative feedback removed due to her asking for something you do not offer in your listing.  If this fails (you might have to try several CSRs), I would leave professional feedback along the lines of "Purchased  (date) evening.  Mailed (date) morning.  Sorry post office didn't get it to you early."  Anyone who looks at it will realize this buyer was unreasonable.

Sorry this happened to you.

Re: Undeserved negative feedback

I believe you can report the buyer for wanting something not in the listing.

Unreasonable expectations.
