Uncomfortable with transaction- Buyer with 0 feedback

Goodday Everyone,

So I listed my Apple Watch series 1 last night and had several BO's.  I received one from a buyer with 0 feedback and then this morning noticed that my item sold for $200 to that same buyer.   Ive received payment through paypal already.  However, I feel quite uneasy about shipping the watch and using the taking out the paypal funds to use since the buyer has 0 feedback.  I had a major issue several years ago with a chargeback and lost the items and am not sure how to proceed with this current transaction.  The member has been active since June 23 of this year and cannot find any information regarding their history.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

When you got the offer first, that is when you could have declined and blocked the buyer if you are not happy with 0 feedback buyers. Then the buyer would not have been able to purchase the item.

Something to think about for next time if it happens again.

They made a best offer of 185 and then used bin of 200. i actually reached out to the buyer and received a quick response so at least i feel more comfortable shipping. I will just use priorty mail and insure it.

This is all good news. The offer made was reasonable, but buyer decided they didn't want your item to slip away, so when you didn't respond to that offer immediately they bought it through the bin price. It all sounds legitimate so far, along with your quick communication response.

Here's to hoping it all stays that way.

Should I try contacting the buyer and explaining the situation with regards to having 0 feedback and see if I receive a response?  I know payment has been made and do not want to cancel the transaction before without doing my due diligence on it.

If you choose to sell expensive electronics on Ebay, you also choose to sell to new buyers. It is not a choice after the sale and payment. Yes, you can refuse to ship and refund, but you will get a well deserved defect from Ebay.

If you do not want to take these risks. sell local pickup cash only or sell it locally period.

The earlier poster was correct. This type of activity gives all sellers a bad reputation.

Exactly.

The time to assess what risks you are willing to absorb is before you list the item. Ebay is cracking down on seller's who do not ship by giving defects for seller-initiated cancellations. It's a serious issue.

For what it's worth, on some items where the potential exists for a buyer to return an item of the same make and model you shipped claiming a refund as it doesn't work or is broken. Circuit boards are an example and certainly expensive items.

I will make a couple of marks on an item that aren't easily spotted and don't detract from the operation or looks of an item. I then photograph these identifying marks and keep them with the picture of the item but I don't include those photos in the listing. I a disputed case I case (hopefully) prove the seller is making a false claim because those marks don't appear in the returned item.

Just don't expect eBay/PayPal to actually look at your evidence. I'm not sure they have any investigators to analyze issues. The minimum wage in San Jose is $12.00 which may be why their "customer service" is in Bangladesh or more likely India.

Re: Uncomfortable with transaction- Buyer with 0 feedback

Ship the item by Certified mail and insured by Post Office to the address Ebay and Paypal has given you.  That protects you for the delivery part. Once item is delivered, go to Post Office online using the tracking number and print out the paperwork and put it in your file along with copies of Ebay's order details, Paypal's detail page of the order.   All this will not protect you from Returns. If you do get a return on the item,  open the package in front of your Postmaster while using your camera to video tape the scene. If it is your watch and in the condition and with any serial numbers checked, you refund the money. If it is not your watch then call Ebay and explain the problem Someone should be able to help you.
