Unable to post first listing - "You can list up to 0 items and $0.00 in total sales this month."

I've seen this topic posted previously, but it looks like things may have changed recently as none of the answers have helped. In attempting to post my first listing, I get a message saying:

"It looks like you've reached the number of items and amount you can list. You can list up to 0 items and $0.00 in total sales this month."

It includes a link to request an increase, which I am denied because I have no sales history. None of the help files have been useful and many links redirect to other pages. I've seen things that say the site will walk you through Seller setup when you create your first listing, but that didn't happen. I did manage to configure my bank account and automatic payments, but that didn't kick things into gear.

I used the "Ask a Seller" chat feature, and they told me to contact support. I called support and was passed around to 3 people over the course of an hour, but they were all so stuck to their scripts that we couldn't actually have a conversation about what was happening and then I got disconnected mid-sentence.

Was anyone out there able to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

@somethingishy000

Have you signed up for and been approved for Managed Payments, so you can be paid?

Have you been thru  all the signup?  Given a bank account, ss ?

I believe so -- again, I haven't been able to find or trigger a systematic sign-up process that walks you through everything, but I have been able to configure odds and ends. There was a portion where I set up my checking account, confirmed the microdeposits, selected weekly payout... I imagine that is what you're referring to.

I'm not sure if I've been through all the signup, that's the problem. There is nothing telling me what might still be pending. But I did definitely set up and confirm my bank account and provide my SS#. I also set up a method for paying seller's fees.

Sounds like you've done everything required to sell (SS#, Microdeposits, Check Acct # etc) so I think you should try contacting ebay for business on facebook. They have better customer service reps. Someone will be along to give you the link and how to go about contacting. It will be worth it.

In addition to all you've already done, be sure that the info on your eBay account matches the info on your banking.  Details are important, for instance if your bank account has a middle initial, your registered eBay name has to as well.

Has Ebay sent you an email saying you are ready to start accepting payments?

How long has it been since you set everything up?
