I’ve had a bidder retract their bid twice on the same item and it is now within the last 24 hours of auction. I’ve tried three times to block them from bidding but i get an error message saying invalid user. How can it be an invalid user if they’re able to bid and retract on my listing? I’d like to get them blocked before they do it again. It is really diminishing the value of the listing. Ugh. Thank you.

I contacted CS. I was supposed to put a comma after the last block and I didn’t do that. Oh brother. My fault. Oops.

Be sure the name you are trying to block is correct. Sometimes a copy/paste will pick up additional characters (a period or such).........
just a suggestion......

Tried it. Still getting the invalid user message. Sigh.

Scroll the list and check to see if the name was successfully added. Sometimes when you add a name, but an older ID is no longer registered, the message refers to the older ID eBay removed from your list and not the new name which was successfully added. You can expand the message to see which ID kicked out the error.

Look in your list to see if the name is there. I get that error message most times, but when I check I see the name was entered to the block list.

Another instance in which you get an error message if you use an uppercase letter for the first letter of the ID. All IDs are lower case.

I get an error message every time I add a name but when I go back into the bbl, the name has been added. Note that the name will be in alphabetical order, it won’t be at the end.
