I got a defect last November for a "case closed without seller resolution." I had moved in October, and the return item was sent to my old address. I was waiting to receive the item to refund the buyer, I had been in close contact with her. Then whammo! She evidently escalated the case, eBay gave her a refund, charged me for it and dinged my account, giving me no chance to respond to the case. I had done a change of address at the P.O. , but they screwed up and showed this return package as delivered at my old addess. So she was able to show delivery, even though she knew I had moved. But there is nothing I can do about that now. My question is how long does the defect show on my account? A year from the problem? Forever? I couldn't find anything in the eBay policy stuff. Thanks for any help

It will fall off in a year from the transaction. If a seller has had 400 transactions in the previous 3 months than a defect would fall off in 3 months.
