Did you mean:

This one is a doozie!

Item purchased: price $6.99 cheese grater with free shipping.

Payment received Sunday, March 21.  Item shipped Monday, March 22.  eBay / USPS estimated delivery date between March 25 and March 27. appears with tracking on buyers purchase history.  (Note today is March 25).

First message from buyer this morning:  This is stuck.  Get on usps right now!

Second message from buyer received immediately after first one:  I DO AND WILL LEAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK!  This is silly!  Get a move on, it's YOUR fault, the seller!!!  Get on usps right now!  I blame YOU!!!

The buyer resides in WV.  USPS tracking shows the item today in Charleston, WV.

So much angst hurled at me over an item whose estimated delivery date still has 2 days before the item is considered late.

Sigh .........................  Another one added to my BB list.

Thanks to everyone for the replies.

I appreciate the humor and empathy.  😁

Kind of puts online selling in perspective.  You have the super great buyers who are extremely happy with their transaction and then you have the occasional gimme, gimme, gimme, now or I will do bad things to you customer.

Keep smiling!

Re: This one is a doozie!

Dear Buyer,

Thank you for bringing this egregious USPS failure to my attention. It's unfathomable that your $6.99 cheese grater has not yet arrived after three days. Three Days!

I've reached out to upper management at USPS and demanded that they take immediate action. They've responded by locating your package and expedited its delivery. It is currently in Charleston WV and will be delivered to you as quickly as possible.

They're hopeful that it will be delivered tomorrow and are working diligently to reschedule other deliveries to clear the way. There are a significant number of packages containing vaccines and other life saving medications as well as stimulus and unemployment checks for those in need but they're confident that they'll be successful in getting those rescheduled. Rest assured that all hands are on deck and working to get your cheese grater to you without further delay.

I know first hand how difficult it can be to be without a cheese grater. Shortly after the pandemic began, our cheese grater broke and we were forced to make pizza with sliced cheese. It was horrific to say the least and saddens me to know that you may be in a similar, unbearable situation.

Thank you for brining this unpleasant situation to me attention and giving me the opportunity to reach out to the powers that be on your behalf. Please let me know if your cheese grater does not arrive and I need to take further, more impactful action.

Your seller

You must have felt your world crashing around you.    And what if your cheese slicer  had broken, too, leaving you totally bereft of appropriate cheese tools?    No, you're right, that is too ghastly to contemplate.

You should write back:

Dear Customer,

Colby just relax for a minute? This could be a gruyere area, but unless I'm swisstaken, your grater is on it's way and will arrive soon, so set your mind at cheese. Just take a minute to brie. It's all gouda. I'm trying to be curdious here. Try not to get feta up with the situation.

Rest assured, you're not provolone in this, and in queso emergency, just remember, we're making America Grate Again.

Ricotta be going now, gouda luck!

Re: This one is a doozie!

They are out there, be aware, yes, my blocked bidder list is looking like the New York phone directory, my only neg is from a zero feed back who wanted to keep part of the item sent (the scarce part) and return the rest at my expense, when I said no way, he responds with a neg. Ebay customer service thought it was OK and did nothing.  Sigh-2.

Re: This one is a doozie!

Make sure to report this buyer.  Use "Requested a shipping service I don't offer or to ship to an address other than what eBay provided"  and in the dialogue box put the details from the emails.   I can't guarantee it will protect against negative feedback but it may have some influence.

Re: This one is a doozie!

Entitlement much?

I can't believe how some people don't even give it a second thought before treating someone like... I could never just out the gate like that .

I'm the type of person, if I have a problem, I will email you kindly and with a smiley face and  how you treat in me in return..  will dictate how the rest of it goes lol  I'll hold my tongue as long as I can, but if the person gets really nasty and rude... I won't stoop to their level, but I will put them in their place. 🙂

I agree with all of that wholeheartedly.

But in some cases, where people are so blatantly out in left field, I feel like I can't or don't even feel like getting mad at them, like all I can do is just laugh at the level of disconnect.

Like the OP's buyer here. I can't help but just shake my head and laugh. I could just imagine him reading my cheese pun reply. LMAO

Without a grater AND a cheese slicer? Gasp, that would be unbelievably cruel! It would be like being trapped in a third world country, forced to eat Velveeta and those individually wrapped "things" they call cheese food.

Now I'm going to have nightmares.
