Hello,
Sold a coin 20 days ago and today the buyer opened a eBay case because he wants refund. I have to take actions until 05 September.
I have 4 options - "Accept the return", "Give full refund", "Offer partial refund" and "Send the buyer message".
In my listing I did write that I do not accept returns and marked this option. The buyer claims that he is not sure that the coin he bought it authentically. I'm sure that the coin is authentically, because I bought it from one of the biggest Auction Houses in Europe.
I have sent him a message and attached proofs that I have bought the coin from an Auction House and the invoice with the coin.
What options do I have in this case, if we can't find a solution till 05 September eBay will automatically refund him or?
Regards,
Boril

The fact that you shipped to the UK makes this a completely different situation and one that is beyond my comprehension. Need a smart person.

He doesn't care about the facts. He has decided he doesn't like the coin for whatever reason, so stop exhibiting your anxiety by pestering him. If he knows how to game the system, he is laughing at you.

Thank you Joliefran, but I can not do absolutely anything, I mean no one can solve this thing, eBay will just refund him and that's all.

You understand you have to respond to the case, not just keep emailing the buyer.

I did partial refund and sent the offer, I guess this is response, right?

AND you will lose the coin. Not the best advice.

OK, But Basically The Same Difference

It looks like a response to me! I think you have just made yourself a tall lemonade... it's tart, but drinkable. Good going!

So far no answer haha, he wants to scam me, I'm 99% sure

A Message is not a Response.
You have to Respond within the Dispute.
If he has not yet filed a Dispute, you are fine.
If he has filed a Dispute, you have not responded and will lose both money and coin.

He has filled a dispute and I think I did answer to the dispute as I offered a partial refund.

how about this, instead of offering a partial refund why not just make the partial refund
if you send the 80GBP today then you have made a refund instead of offering one
in the event that you have to make a full refund then you will have already paid them 80GBP
the buyer is not able to double dip, if you want to make a partial then just do it
perhaps you are unable to make the refund since your funds could be on hold
I have had hundreds of returns and I always tell any seller to just say yes to the return

Because I have sent the coin to UK, since UK left EU I have to pay 30% duty fees for parcels from UK, so when I add the shipping costs because I have to pay them if I take the return, I'll have to pay ~40% of the coin value to get back MY COIN.

@monster-deals wrote:You definitely take returns, ALL ebay sellers do.
?? There are plenty of sellers here who do not take returns. That is a seller's choice.
Unlike refunds.
