Yes, what I am seeing and reading (even if between the lines) is that most Sellers know and accept normal "dips" in sales BUT they also know when a DROP in sales is NOT normal ... for myself, that's what I am seeing.

One interesting trend I saw one month was most of my sales were coming from Repeat Customers or shorter duration Auctions ... hardly any 30 day GTC listings were selling ... so folks searching with either time remaining or ending soon would have a better chance of finding a 5 day auction then a GTC listing with say 24 days remaining in the current listing cycle ...

Thanks for this information. I may do more auctions. My only issue with more auctions is chasing down buyers for payment. I thought and I'm sure I read where ebay was supposed to implement that buyers would immediately have to pay like the buy it now listings.

I have a new petition... eBay should pause all the useless updates (only allow the necessary ones) until the summer is over. Kind of like they pause updates during the 4th quarter. The enomony/inflation coupled with all the updates is causing the low sales issue to be a lot worse.

velvet@ebay I came across this thread and also saw the one referenced in your post ... just wondering if this is still a "thing" and members who are seeing their sales drop abnormally should still be reporting it to "someone" ... since Sales follow Views which follows Impressions all three of those for me have steadily dropped but it started before the mid-May time frame this thread refers to. Impressions prior to mid may dropped by 80.5%

That was abrupt ... then just last week I did a check almost everyday and Impressions just seem to keep going down ... I have 23.5% of my items with ZERO Views and another 18% with ONE View ... that's 41.5% (almost half) of my items that have virtually NO visibility anywhere on the internet ...

So Impressions are down about 50% and so are my sales ... I have provided ALL the REQUIRED Item Specifics but on that just has me miffed on the new Listing tool is the UPC code which is critical in logarithms finding things ... YET I get the "Match not found" screen EVERY TIME I put a valid UPC code in a listing ... not ONCE has the system said the UPC matches ... and we're talking hundreds of listings.

What I noticed was things changing as early as the November 2021 category shuffling eBay did just before the Holidays and the sudden increase in Buyers posting here complaining that they can't find things ...

I was told they weren't collecting any more examples and I believe I noted that somewhere in this thread or possibly another (this list started during May's Seller Release) but it's hard to readily find at this point @mr_lincoln.

Having said that, I've reached back out and provided them your post. I appreciate the details and screen shots. I'm not aware of a known issue going on slowing down sales, but I'll let you know whatever I can find out.

velvet@ebay can add me to that also...infact just tell ebay to fix whatever things they messed up cause honestly it's most sellers having these same issues past month - two months, it all started with the change of view counts (it's now not counting actual views either, that entire system was broken from the start, it counts 1 in every 10 actual views on average, so it's eliminating actual views as bot views in other words), then the new listing tool is causing listing descriptions to randomly display all weird and it happens on all devices and brousers - opt out go back to classic it happens with the classic also, last nail in coffin for many was the change to PLS elected minimal percentage, and while the percentage isn't the cause what ever they did to PLS, algorithms perhaps, along with inaccurate view counts are affecting PLS impressions where most sellers impressions have dropped 10,000 or more since the view count change. I haven't had a sale on PLS in awhile since they made the change, before sales on PLS was near every day (so yeah, since ebay is losing money by droves sure want to check into that).

Just wish we could tell Ebay:

Please stop updating and trying to improve the Ebay website. Instead how about going back and just fix all the glitches on Ebay. Once that done then you can work on trying to improve the website. The wagon in front of the horse isn't working for you.

It's a bit sad that the techs don't want any more users that are having problems. Most techs appreciate additional information which helps them, in the long run, with targeting the problem.

Most of the people responding to this thread are experienced sellers and this is not just a bunch of people that are unhappy with their sales. This has been an ongoing issue that started for me in mid May.

Don't want to jinx it but my sales have improved enough over the past 10 days that I am able to pay my utility bills and buy some food. Wow... never thought it would come to this on eBay...

I've been saying this since 2017. They seem insistent on adding (and breaking) more things when the bugs I've reported to them back then are still not fixed...

Something happened today that was pretty dramatic........ everybody complaining
