I have to say it is making it much more difficult for me. This morning is a good example, I slept in and did not log in on time to cancel 10 listings so I had 10 listing renew today that I didn't want to be relisted hello this is just day two! So now I will have to set my alarm clock so I can baby sit my eBay listings just so I don't get caught having items relisted that I don't want to get listed.

I have 1,000 free listings a month, so they haven't caught me that way. However since GTC was made mandatory, sales are down 28% for the month and we haven't had a sale in 3 days now.

Hi POPEYE! It's not going good all over the internet. It become a mad max, controlling nasty environment. Eat a few more bowls of spinach! LOL Go read e commerce bytes... ebays letter to the shareholders. sickening. I think it's over. I'm basically throwing my hands up. Let the site regress into just mass produced junk. Maybe alibaba will buy them out.

No Problems here !! And if you knew the time was up to cancel the items you didn't want re-listed and they were. There's no one to blame but yourself. Why wait until the last second to take those items off ?? Chances are after 29 days of not being sold they won't sell. So just take them down if you didn't want them re-listed !!! Many people in my opinion are making more of this change than it really is. Now people with thousands of listings will have a more difficult time than those with a few hundred or less. Pay attention and you will have less problems in my opinion.

Sales are way down yet we try to ride out the storm. I believe this move is going to hurt EBAY and the additional fee's collected will not match the less buying and sellers that will or already have left.
Steps I have taken since - Just imagine if thousands more did the same.
1) Opened an online store on another site
2) stopped buying on EBAY
3) Cancelled Annual Subscription for month to month subscription to allow for an easy exit
4) Splitting time posting here with another site
Ebay stock is down and this week a steady down arrow can only give us hope. The fact is when the stock is effected, change will come with it. It is my prediction around Aug 1 the GTC noose will be loosened as the second quarter results will dictate a change is needed.

Why do the GTC worshippers want to bash us when we say our sales are down? I've been seeing a lot of that. My sales are way down & many many other sellers now in the same boat, the plummet started when the GTC Auto Relist was implemented, that's a fact Jack. The numbers prove it.
I too have been selling elsewhere while trying to ride out this storm, that in fact has picked up the slack,i won't say the name of the site here tho.
It's beyond me why any company would force a change on someone that does in fact hurt sales,i know what works best for me-GTC does not work for me nor many others.

Same here brother, same here.
I see you sell vinyl records.... Yah my vinyl sales are way down since GTC and I typically sell about 100 a month. This month I just reordered vinyl shippers and opted for 50 ct rather than 100 as sales are down incredibly. While I am not expecting to sell 50 a week, I am expecting to sell more than 3 a week.

It's bad for me too, I don't like to be baby sitting my listings, that should be optional =(

Well I’ve had gtc for a while. Sales were up even though traffic was down.

It's really too soon to tell if a sales decline is due to GTC (and not just the outrage over it) or whether other factors are at play. I'll be interested to see how many of my GTC rollover listings actually sell compared to new listings and other relists, and that will take a couple more months. April, May, and June are typically my slowest months for sales of the year, so I'm not sure how meaningful any data I collect will be.
On the bright side I woke up to a 200 free listing promo today 4/19-4/23 so at least I won't have to bother cancelling any GTC listings while the promo runs and can enjoy my Easter visitors that arrive today. All small miracles are welcomed.

It’s way to early to judge gtc. You’ve not even reaped the benefits of it yet that come with the listing staying active. My sales are up from last month and up from last year

It is too soon to tell for me too. Sales have been running true to pattern - neither up nor down. I sell collectables - most of which I have only one of each.
My first two listing batches as GTC just renewed.
The issue of fees does not concern me - I have an anchor store and don't use all my allocated listings per month (only because I haven't had the time to create listings at a rapid rate).
Because I now have batches (assigned numerically) renewing, I am not sure how to keep track or make additions to batches. But that's a minor point. Making changes to descriptions - some will have to be wholesale changes - will be another puzzle to deal with at a later time.

" Chances are after 29 days of not being sold they won't sell. So just take them down if you didn't want them re-listed !!! "
I think that's what people were doing with stale listings before the GTC mandate. Tweaking, adjusting price, changing photos or updating the description - or just not relisting period. Thanks for adding emphasis to a policy that really isn't all that helpful.

The OP is referencing One-of-a-Kind sellers. There are no benefits to reap from GTC for OOAK sellers. The only benefit would be building a sales history but if you have only 1, then that means nothing. I believe there are so many users on here that do not understand many other user's business model. Like I've posted before, when Pierre Omidyar started this company by selling his broken laser pointer, he didn't call a supplier and order more broken laser pointers, he just sold something else. That is what created this company, not someone selling an endless supply of cheap junk.
