Sales for me are deader than a doornail. Nothing but crickets. Nada. 4-day dryspell, like the desert. Nothing since January 3rd. 4 days, no sales is a new record for the last 12 months.
Hope things pick up soon or I am gonna have to make a beer run and drown my listing tediousness this afternoon. Until then, I expect I will list a few more, just for good measure.
Nod if you can hear me……

I'm thinking I'm gonna just go on a listing blitz for all of the Christmas stuff I just picked up from the post-Christmas sales in stores and see what happens. It can't hurt!
(I also sold an Easter item just a couple weeks ago so go figure.)

me, too...2 small sales--664 listings, unreal and awful. And best part is that the feature that allows one to post to FB & Pinterest not working on my pages...Reported it--waiting to see a "fix", but so far zip. What I don't get is that people offline are buyin g my items, my neighbors & friends buy, anyone I meet buys jewelry right off my body that I am wearing, but millions of viewers here buy NOTHING...no, I wasn't born yesterday, there's more to it than the economy. All the people freezing on the East coast are sitting home on their computers-they don't ALL HAVE plumbing bills, heating bills,e tc. Just an excuse. WOE...WOE..for us. Sorry for you also...pauli

For some reason this week, glassware is flying off the shelves (which makes up for the slowdown on kids NIB toys)
Nice, good to hear. I hope it keeps rolling for you.

We know there is always this thread....but...
Sales haven't slowed.
They have stopped.
We sell a variety of things, a lot of vintage.
This is the longest dry spell in three years.
It must be a combination of things, but heat is expensive, and half the country has been very cold. It seems that being inside would spark sales, but it hasn't.
We are getting views and watches, more than we ever have without sales, so people are looking, not buying.
I hear more people talking about watching Netflix than browsing on ebay.
Talking to my dad, he mentioned maybe ebay was new and novel and now it's not.
It would be nice if ebay shared info with us to help, (regional buying patterns, number of watchers) but that's a dream.
We have stopped buying until we move some things. Sadly that is the fun part and hard to resist. We passed our (former) favorite Goodwill the other evening and it was packed.
So people are out (and it's cold!!) and presumably buying.
of course, Goodwill is getting more for items than we are.
It does take away motivation for listing.
I keep looking at my items, tweaking, making notes.
Its like a watched pot never boils.
Really must do better or spend time on something else.
At least we haven't had to deal with the Post Office or SNAD claims.

Yes, I keep telling myself to stop buying. It seems like all the bargains show up when my sales are slow. I guess that's to be expected. So now isn't a good time for selling, but you can score some great bargains.

Yep - that is how it works. I list clothes but they sit and suddenly the jewelry that has been ignored for weeks starts flying out the door. Whatever as long as it sells. Maybe the new listings got fresh eyes on the old stuff.

I have lots of repair parts for frozen pumps, busted toilets, and leaky faucets, etc...
Send those people my way!

I wonder how many people out there are doing the same, buying Christmas stuff on sale to sell on Ebay. I wouldn't know what to buy, but it's an interesting idea. Ornaments maybe?

Wellllll, Tuesday was not good, so far. It appears that I may lay another goose egg today. Though I did post another ~20 listings today. Had a box of chit that I had been procrastinating on listing. At least that is out of the way. On to bigger and better items manana.........
My hope is that others faired well today. Time for a Stella.

That's how I got all of the stuff that I sold this year-- I bought it on deep discount last year after Christmas and then just put it away for this year. I listed it all for full price and I've only got a few things left that haven't sold.

It's been very slow here. Used to be back in November, I would sell several items a day on a good day. Now I'm lucky to get one or two per day. This is driving me crazy. Looks like it's happening to everyone. Thought it was something wrong with my account.

Yes, I hear you!! There's nothing like finding a bargain!
I used to be the best.
But then everyone else caught on!
But remember, it's not a bargain if you aren't selling.
And it's not a bargain if you don't have enough $$.
We haven't been to the grocery in over 3 weeks (ok got onions and carrots one day for soup)
Not going hungry, just eating bargains!!
The itch to look is there. I am fighting it hard. 😃
Why doesn't listing feel as good?
If only I could feel, " I want to stay home and list today?"😩
