Slow Sales

Anyone else experiencing slow sales? I have an inventory of nearly 100 items and haven't had a transaction in over a week.

Re: Slow Sales

Unless you are selling high volume mass market product with multiples of the same products 100 items will not generate consistent sales. There will be hills and valleys and cherry picking of your most desirable items.

Re: Slow Sales

I don't see anything listed on the account you posted with.    Need to see what and for how much the listing are.   You can try searching for items like your selling and see what prices those are going for and make your prices a bit lower.

Re: Slow Sales

I'm not sure why you are unable to view my listings. Research takes up the majority of my time on eBay. Prices of most of my items are lower compared to similar listings. If I lower the prices of some items. I risk losing money because of high shipping rates eating into my profit.

Re: Slow Sales

Comes down to price and demand. Check your prices and see if you are overpriced. A lot of sellers who come in here in regards to lack of sales have items which are overpriced. You need to see what others sell the item for but most importantly what the item sold for. If other similar items sold for well below what you are selling it for then chances of the item selling for that amount probably not happening. Then check the demand. If no items have sold within the past few months and you see a bunch of that similar item for sale then the demand for that item doesn't exist. It may take you years to sell it unless you give a great deal on it.  One other thing you can do is continue to list items. Keep the same inventory up without listing doesn't help you.

Re: Slow Sales

I believe my prices are fair, so it must be low demand and bad luck.

Re: Slow Sales

I don't know why no one can see my listings. I hope customers can. Maybe that's my problem 😅

Re: Slow Sales

The first complaint about slow sales on eBay was made in October 1995.

Re: Slow Sales

You have 68 items listed for sale, not almost 100. And the reason we can't see them here by clicking "View listings" is because you changed your name.  I have to click on your feedback and then change the URL from phatcowboy721 to almostheaven304 to see your feedback and your listings.

Re: Slow Sales

Same thing -- no listings showing.

I checked both from here in Canada and with the zipcode 90210

You also show no sales at all in the past three months.

That's really stupid programming.

Re: Slow Sales

I agree, but don't shoot the messenger.  I had nothing to do with it.

Re: Slow Sales

Technically, 74 and 18 on another account I manage for a relative (92, but who's counting except you haha). Anyways, your discovery explains the issue. I appreciate you investigating and figuring out the issue.
