The only way that I know that a seller can validate that they met there handling time is to get an acceptance scan from the carrier. putting a package in a drop box won't do that necessarily. Your options are:

1. Go to your local post office, stand in line and get a scan.
2. Schedule a pick up with your carrier - this can be iffy
3. What I did 95% of the time was to get to know my carrier (and she made certain her subs knew what to do for me), well and they would pick my shipments and scan it - a little bribery helps: - I'd leave home made oat meal cookies with chocolate, raisins and walnuts - the recipe is on the inside of the lid on Quaker Oats boxes - been there as long as my late Mother (born in 1919) can remember. The walnuts was my Mom's idea and the chocolate chips mine 9teh recipe on calls for raisans. Also left Christmas Gift - some thing I made or some Chocolate covered and salted Georgia pecans and in general just be nice/friendly to them - I wouldn't want their job.
