Selling policies

What's with these **bleep** ebay payment policies? I have sold on and off on ebay since 2004 and this crap they are doing now is ridiculous! I was gone a while and then was broke enough to need to sell some stuff. Before I got paid right away within a day or two now I gotta wait a month!!!? Before I had been paid beforehand so I had money to ship, now I got to pay shipping up front!!? Are you freakin kidding me?!! This change in their policy hurts individual sellers who don't have money to burn. F' ebay! I'm done selling on this crap platform!

Re: Selling policies

Bullcrap, I never have waited more than a couple days usually within 24 hours when paypal was used. I purchased the labels in a naive hope it would speed up payment and it was taken out from my F'n bank account making my situation worse. Screw ebay and their crap policies

You can be a professional, take the bit of time needed to re-establish yourself as an eBay seller, and then get your payouts daily under Managed Payments, if you like;  or weekly, biweekly, or monthly.

Or you can rave, curse, flounce off, and have a yard sale.

Re: Selling policies

Welcome to 2022, where too many cheaters, scammers, liers, dishonest people have taken too much from eBay that they don’t put up with it anymore.  So put the blame on all the dishonest sellers that have crossed the line too much.  eBay’s had enough of it.

Ah.

It is possible that you also have some Defects still recorded on your selling account for slow shipping.

Although those "time out" after a year, there might be some drag from them.

With PP we were told to ship when PP showed the payment as cleared, even if it had not yet been moved to our accounts.

Managed Payments, once the seller has proved himself, will move cleared payments to the seller's checking account daily if requested, although it looks like only very busy sellers use that option.

The default is weekly (on Tuesdays) but we can also opt for biweekly or monthly transfers. The only seller I know who does that sells very little and in an esoteric category.

Re: Selling policies

If you’re broke, go to a pawn shop.

Online selling isn’t for instant gratification.

The ability to pay for shipping via 'pending funds' was still available.
