Selling “adult” magazines

I used to have vintage Playboy magazines and nudist magazines until eBay made a change a while back. But I see playboys still listed. So I read the article about listing adult material but it’s not really clear to me. What category can I use? I don’t think there is still an adults only category. Nothing I have is what can be considered pornography, just nudity.

Re: Selling “adult” magazines

The single listing I had for risque fetish model material - when ebay changed it over in the category reorganization, went into: Collectibles & art / paper / pin up / Contemporary (1970 - now). try the various options under there as you might find the proper listing.

You may wish to review this - https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/adult-items-policy?id=4278&st=3&pos=1... - it spells out the acceptable categories & everything else is no longer one of them.

Re: Selling “adult” magazines

I suggest that you don't sell it because there is a chance that eBay will remove it. If you were to sell it the category would be "books."

Re: Selling “adult” magazines

You basically can't sell them on ebay and it sucks. I tryed "Magazines, Books, and other other other

and still kicked off the next day..

and the sad part is there are other sellers selling the exact something under those listings and never get the boot......................Stupied

Re: Selling “adult” magazines

If you refer to the policy on adult items, you will see that Playboy is allowed, under the stated guidelines.

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/adult-items-policy?id=4278

The following items are allowed only under the conditions outlined below:

  • Adult magazines, books and comics that contain nudity are allowed only if they don't contain sexual activity and if no images of nudity are showing in the listing
    • Some examples of this include Bear (magazine), Blue (magazine), Butt (magazine), Gayletter, Mayfair, On Our Backs, Penthouse, Playboy, Playgirl, and Playguy. This isn't an exhaustive list of magazines, books and comics we allow. Any adult magazine or comic that doesn't contain sexually explicit content can be listed following the guidelines in this policy”

If i understand the law, @cath-185130 , such subject matter as you suggest is present, is illegal. But i am unfamiliar with the contents of these publications.

This post is really old...and there's nothing wrong with selling Playboys.
