What happens when a buyer doesn't receive an item that is lost? How does the seller get compensated for the lost items?

Resolved! Stuck in Awaiting Shipment

Anyone seeing some crazy stuff this morning? I have four orders shipped with tracking that are stuck in my "awaiting shipment" queue. Another new order I can only access through the email link, it doesn't show in any queue.

Why do funds take up to 4 days to be deposited to my bank? I am not set up for the quick (30 min.) deposit with the $2.00 fee. Shipping charges are withdrawn the next day after label is created but receiving the funds for sales can take up to 4 days....
