Would like to know your Views and how many items you have listed as shown on Seller Hub (Not the "impressions')
I have about 9000 (past 30 days) and 600 listings, so that is an average of:
300 views a day- 50% of my listings count

Past 30 days:
540 views and 157 listings
18 views per day-about 11.4% of my listings count
Views are up 0.4% compared to last month
Because you sell only 'handmade' 'Christmas' stuff, I can see why views (clicks) would be on the lower side for your genre. I'll bet it's much higher come October, November.

@movieman630 wrote:All I can add is that everything is down right now across the board nothing but red. My sales for the last 30 days are 29% down from the previous 30 days.
Impressions down 8.9% after being down almost 12% the previous period.
Page views down 12.5%
Sales conversion rate down .5% after being down the last 30 as well.
I think it's the 'summer' thing being down. I'm down yet sales are up- I rely on 'car show' season, which started late this year.
Seems your genre may be 'people are out & about on vacation and not buying 'movies' at this time of year. How has it compared to previous June/July (2023, 2022?)

I have a little over 12,000 listings, so not lots of views compared to listings, but lots of my stuff people won't look at unless they're looking for that type of thing, so some of my items never get any views (like postcards, or certain stamp lots).
C.
Being mostly 'foreign coins' I can see where the actual 'buyer clicks' would be lower and like you said, not alot of views compared to listings (about 7% of views (816 day) vs Listings (12000) but the good number to look at, compare to etc. would be the 816 times a day people are actually CLICKING on your listings.
I think that is a number you would just 'watch' to see compared to other months, previous years etc.
By the way, you can look at any month up to 2 years back for these views by just changing the date at the top once you click on that 'Traffic' section (again, views are something, impressions are nothing since they can be on page 935 and never 'seen')- but again, VIEWS means Buyers are not only 'SEEING', but 'CLICKING'.
It's something....

This tells you:
Are you being seen?
Views tell you absolutely nothing about whether you are being seen. I would say probably 95% of the things I sell sell with fewer than 10 views. Clearly they were being seen.
Sorry, that makes NO sense. Views are actual 'clicks' by a potential buyer, so this means they are at least interested in looking 'more deeply' into your item by just the Title and Picture.
In reality, that's what this is a GREAT measurable for- are your Titles and/or Pictures 'enticing' enough for someone to want to spend the time 'clicking' on your item?
Many 'click' on an item, either place it in a 'watchlist' or not, but know to 'look' for it again later if they don't buy now.

@pls-consignments wrote:Unfortunately, in order to get a consistently accurate number for all metrics, there needs to be a consistently stable baseline for all metrics to be measured by, especially categorically. eBay has not been able to "consistently" provide that due to glitches, platform and policy changes. eBay just puts it there for individual reference only. It has little value in my opinion.
@pls-consignments and if enough answer this, by seeing what they sell, could give us all, at least, a little bit of comparison. If we get another 'coin seller' telling us numbers that equate to 40% of their 'items' are being 'clicked' on every day, compared to another that is at 7%- then it could be easy to look at their listings to see what is enticing a buyer to look at the 40% person over the 7% person.
Baby steps....

OK for your research or whatever you are doing I took a peek.
Listings - 81
Views - 2,408
Compared to last month - ^1.1%
Data for 6 June - 6 July
That is very good- 100% (80 a day) on average are being seen!

About 1000 views and a little over 900 listings.
33 views a day = 3% of listings count. If I did the math right.
I can see these numbers varying wildly depending on what your selling. As someone else posted I have a lot of items that don't get any views till the one that makes the sale.
@jg.mason yes, those that sell 1 of a kind 'thrift store' type things will obviously vary and usually be 'longer tail' items, but so far I have about 4 or more of 'this genre' reporting, so I will get a comparison and list it for all to see.

you've eliminated the box that says TRAFFIC and is NOT something you can 'eliminate'.
You can move the width of the column so that it is for practical purposes invisible. I did that for one of the columns but I don't remember what it was. Something useless to me.

Yes, you are correct my views are higher in October and November. What has me somewhat concerned is the difference between last year and this year for the same period.
I am trying to figure out if my items are just not as desirable to buyers in today's market. After 12 years of selling the same thing, that certainly might be the case. Or, maybe buyer's habits are changing and they just are not looking for Christmas items at this time of year. I just do not know.

@dbfolks166mt for the most part, selling 'one of' used 'thrift store' type items- PR would be worthless.
PR is best for 'brand new' items that there are 'multiple sellers' selling the same type items.
What I sell, for example, (chrome engine covers for various vehicles) I have MANY competitors- so I use PR at the minimum required 2% (was 1% and this USED to put my items in 'other sellers' listings..now??) .

In the last 2 days my views are extremely high. Sales are not though. Seems to me the big impression and view days always seem to be my worst sales days. Turned off pls for a day and got an unbelievable amount of views and impressions but 2 sales. My best selling days my views are around 125. Worst sales days my views are 250 or more a day. But unfortunately the guys at the gas station don't let me pay with views and impressions.
