Pokemon seller sold 314 boxes. Looks like he has now ghosted all his buyers. Do we turn him in to the post office or ebay?

Those buyers will file item not received claims and eBay will de-activate the account.

If you are one of the buyers, turn him in to both.

What does the Post Office have to do with this?

If the seller took the money and ran, then he used the USPS to defraud his buyers, and that is a serious criminal offense that the postal inspectors have jurisdiction over.

I'm not sure if you have positive proof of this, but lots of things could have happened that prevented the seller from responding and shipping.
They could have died.
They could have gotten very sick.
They could have had a catastrophic family emergency.
They could be victims of a natural disaster.
Though, sure, buyers should be reporting this to ebay and Paypal (if involved).

.............general reply..........
when something like this happens it should not cause us to lose our senses. You really just have to operate with the MBG and see what happens,if someone is piling up negatives and not shipping that might be bad for a seller but it does not affect your case.......if it does ebay will connect the dots and might give you expedited problem solving.
ebay does work to prevent this sort of thing, look at all of the people who want to sell a ps5 but are finding it hard to do so

It doesn't sound like they went anywhere near a post office.

@haffners Are you one of those who was defrauded?
You have 30 days from the last estimated date for delivery to open a Not Received Dispute with eBay's Resolution Centre at the bottom of this page.
If the seller cannot prove delivery (not shipping, delivery) eBay will refund the buyer and go after him for their money.
If the 30 day window has closed, the buyers can open a Not Received Dispute with Paypal's Resolution Centre at the top of their PP account page. They have 180 days from payment to do this.
If the seller cannot prove delivery (not shipping, delivery) PP will refund the buyer and go after him for their money.
To open either an eBay or a PP account, a member has to attach some proof of identity and ability to pay fees.
In addition both companies undoubtedly carry insurance to cover these frauds, which in any case are a business deduction.
Reporting is not the correct action.
Disputes have teeth.

Does USPS have any control over the internet? These scammers don't wait for a cheque to come in the mail.
The payments would be made electronically, through PP or Managed Payments.
Only if the seller were to send something to the buyer that was completely different, a plastic comb instead of a Golden Snitch, would the USPS be involved.

Idk what 'ghost his buyers' means, but it looks like something sudden and terrible happened to that seller. He had an excellent selling record before this month. As you were advised, just file an item not received case, and let the other buyers take care of themselves.Ebay is a self serve site, and you are not personally responsible for other buyers.

Not likely that the seller spent any money on shipping anything. USPS, FedEx, UPS, China Post, or any other service.
Perhaps health, or some other emergency has befallen the seller. Feedback was good until recently.

Remember when "bad" meant "good"? LOL "Ghosted' is a word the youngins are using now to describe when someone totally ignores them or disappears.
