Can anybody explain whats going on here? Today is supposed to be the seller evaluation but my seller performance rating is still saying below standard. It looks like they skipped the July 20 evaluation. It’s making no sense:

***General reply***
Patience! Seller's should be well aware that evals happen on the 20th of each month for the period ending the previous month. I haven't read, seen or heard of anywhere that that means at 12:01 AM the dashboard should reflect the eval to completed.
It is kind of like when seller's were anticipating the Spring Seller Update and were wondering where it was when the Spring season hadn't even started yet. Or like some members looking for the Summer Seller Update on the Weekly Chat this past week when the Summer season even though we are only about 1/3rd into the season.
The Dashboard for everyone will update. While certainly there has been occasions over the years when the update was late. It hasn't happened very often and the current one isn't late or delayed. It is simply due today. Ebay runs on PST. So there is still about 11 hours left of the day.

General reply .... to me?
As I stated, which has nothing to do with anyone not having patience, was that
I see exactly what the OP's concern was.
The concern could have been avoided if the eBay information was correct. Stating the next evaluation is in August is what raised the concern. The field, that triggers the date change to August, shouldn't change until after the Seller Performance Rating is updated for July (which hasn't happened yet for the OP). This is software coding 101 and another example of poorly executed processes causing problems and concerns for eBay Customers.

No, a General Reply to the thread. You just happen to be the last person that had posted to the thread at the time. This isn't a new thing for someone to do. You've been on many threads where this has happened. Maybe not that involved a post of yours, but still a pretty normal thing for someone to do on a thread.

If we evaluated you todayYour seller level would beAbove StandardNext evaluation on Aug 20, 2019It IS the 20th. It is a big site with lots and lots of sellers. You just need to give the system time to update.
If you look closely at the words on your dashboard it TELLS you that your status as of June 21st is Below Standard. That is your CURRENT status.
It also tells you if you were eval'd TODAY what your status would be. But you need to keep in mind that the eval that is going on today, that you are waiting for, are the results as of July 31st [not today].
The dashboard is telling you the information it has at this time. You just need to wait for Ebay to complete the eval that is happening today across the site and then update the Dashboards of all the sellers for the results of today's eval for the period ending July 31st.
The problem is that eBay is a garbage organization! I shouldn’t have to be patient. This rating should’ve updated at 12am today, and not a second later! They sent me an email LAST NIGHT saying my performance rating needed to improve. Well it had improved and yet they haven’t updated the ratings! They’re obviously spending more time trying to siphon money out of usthan they are on their IT infrastructure. How long should we wait? Another month? This is ridiculous!

That just isn't how things work. The eval due out today is for the period ending July 31st. Prior to the eval being done you are NOT charged the additional penalty fees for being Below Standard because it has not yet been determined that you were Below Standard for that period.
Similar to last month. When they Eval'd you on June 20th, it was AFTER the Eval that the penalty fees would have applied to your sales for the period ending May 31st.
Ebay does not advance bill penalty fees. They apply AFTER the determination that they are due.
The same holds true for sellers that are TRS and may qualify for the listing discounts. They do NOT get the discounts until the eval for that period is done to make sure they qualify for the discounts.
Also keep in mind that you may have improved for the period ending June 30th and hopefully you did. But that doesn't mean you improved enough to get to Standard or above Standard. That you will know when the eval is posted to your Dashboard.
If you want help in determining your best approach on how to get out of this penalty fee as quick as you can. Let us know what is causing you to be rated Below Standard and we would all try to help you if we can. I'm not at all a fan of this penalty fee in any way. I think it is HUGE and overly punitive. So I for one would be happy to assist in trying to help you work out of this issue.

I've been on many threads and never saw this done before. I also don't think it's a normal thing to do, but just my opinion.

Greg, I'm sorry things don't live up to your expectations here.........It is very common here to reply to the last post, assuming one is not answering/replying to a specific post ..........I and others do it all the time..........
lol, would be pretty difficult to reply to one's own previous post if there hadn't been one.

"General Reply" is the equivalent of "Tagging" or "Just tagging," which I am 100% sure you've seen any number of times, including in this very thread. It is used when someone is using the reply button on the previous poster's comment, but not necessarily directing the comments to that poster, but, rather, to anyone and everyone participating in or reading the thread. The same procedure was used for the post in this thread that used "Tagging."
If you perform a search of the community for "general reply" or "tagging" or "just tagging," it will identify hundreds of results for each phrase. It is not uncommon in the least.

Thanks for clarifying this. I've seen "Tagging" often in replies, but I really never noticed "General Reply" before.
