Is it just my store or is everyone else's sales tank? Just unbelievable slow, I had 25 sales a day during peek covid. Then it dropped to 5 to 10. Now I'm lucky to get 2/day

It is absolutely painful. The last few months have just gotten worse by the day. Funny, they make changes to the site and implement AI and everything goes to crap. Not sure there is a correlation but in my 15 years selling here I have never seen a decline so rapid with no reasoning and no end in site. Ughhhh

Yes, a slow steady decline since early 2022 ... sales are not sustainable in the current venue environment ... when 33% of your items have NO Views int he last 30 days and a total of 56% have 2 or fewer views that is not good.
While I am not a huge Seller as far as listings go sell through rate was good prior to 2022 ... then the Views counting change was implemented and PLA went fully online and sales just changed ... no growth in over 18 months, it's sad really.

I have found in about 90 percent of the cases I looked at it was the person's prices.
Video about it below.

When I create my listing I compared to Amazon and eBay. Most of the time I have lowest price, If I don't pay 10 percent ad fee my listing is never seen. Really sad time.

I have my repeat buyers helping me. Otherwise, it's been dead for new buyers for a week now.
My business plan is "repeat buyers".

Sometimes when you find merchandise on the clearance shelf or rack or buy from liquidators, there is a reason it is there - it did not sell. That is always a possibility.

Sometimes when you have only a single size, without paying for advertising, no one looks at your listing because they buy from the sellers with a full range of sizes.
What worked in the past may no longer work because the number of people selling online has surged with the number of people who need some more money than their job or retirement savings and plans are providing.

Yes, used to sell 70-100 items a day, everyday. With all the website issues I am selling 13-45 items a day. Really hurts

I just downgraded my store and switched from yearly to monthly to be able to jump ship soon. I accepted a job and am now on winding down mode. It's been a wild ride, had eBay not stripped sellers from so many protections and didn't expect them to pay to play, I'd be in a different boat. As it is, the market sucks. Ebay sucks. Customer service sucks. It can all crash and burn. Had eBay listened to it's sellers this wouldn't be as bad as it is. It's just going to get worse. I've been selling for 18 years, 12 years full time. Trying to keep up with their ever changing policies, lack of protections for sellers, money grabs, lack of accountability, platform issues, greed; you know, basic cooperate America **bleep**. I'm sick of lining the pockets of the share holders while the site has glitch after glitch and they refuse to advertise. What they have managed to do is tick a lot of sellers off. And sellers are eBay's customers. They don't get paid unless we pay them and use them.

The overall drop affecting most online sellers can be best explained by what I heard on Fox Business recently (paraphrased): "The bulk of consumers are paralyzed by uncertainty". This is the most comprehensive and simple explanation I've heard so far. It says it all.
The best thing we can do is Accept > Adjust > Adapt. Accept the situation and the need to be patient, Adjust our expectations and be wise about adjusting our listings and business models where we can, and Adapt to the new reality by riding it out until it blows over, which it eventually will (fingers crossed).
There are rich periods and there are lean periods. That's the nature of online commerce that I've experienced in the 25+ years I've been selling here and on other online venues.
Chill...
Cheers, Duffy

Last year I averaged 30 a month. This year I am doing lousy. Last month I had three sales and so far this month I have had three sales.
One day, next week is my 69th birthday. My birthday wish is that people with an interest in what I am selling, see my listings and start buying items. I am sure I will be disappointed though.
