Sales non existence the last two days, 2 days this time of year should be our best. Anybody else notice this the last 2 days?

So far I made as much all this year what I used to make in a month give or take a thousand.

My selling ID had a sale yesterday, and it was the first one in almost a month.
She has several current auction listings, with bids on two that will end on Friday, Dec. 16.
It is highly unlikely that any two sellers on eBay will ever have exactly the same experience on any given two days.
No matter whether those days are close to two or three or four major holidays.
No matter whether those days are close to anybody's birthday.
No matter whether those days are close to tax filing date (including extensions) or even when tax refunds start coming in.
Even with gasoline prices dropping, the economy is still in a slump. I think a lot of potential eBay buyers are doing the same thing I am: thinking really, really hard before spending.

2 days? I'm at 2 sales the entire month. $30 US. However, I had to refund $35 for an INR (Thanks, CP or USPS!). In the hole for $5 plus the fees. Also had a NSF for an eBay withdraw that came up short because I'M NOT GETTING ANY SALES!! Worst month of the year. Good luck to all. 🙂

My sales have been down 60% since August. And at this time, I am considering what I am going to do. That is if I will continue to sale here, or move on to another selling venue.

I'm sorry to hear that. But it is pretty normal stuff when talking about internet sales. Sales go up and down all year long.
And it is a mixed bag. Lots of sellers are doing fine with their sales and others are not. Again this happens year round on Ebay. We don't all have the same amount of sales all the time.
I hope that your sales pick up very soon.

Makes me nervous to want to invest in a lot more inventory and scale up. I often see bigger sellers posting on here about slow sales volume.

Yes you will see that year round. For some reason some sellers think their sales should be the same 24/7/365. And the internet just doesn't do that for us. There are times that are slower than others, for all of us. But Ebay is thriving which means that there are enough sellers doing just fine. But it will never be 100% of sellers having sales daily on a regular basis. That is just not going to happen. There are too many of us.
For myself, the summer months are usually pretty slow for me. August is typically the worst month of the year for me. The best time is AFTER Christmas and through January are historically my best sales of the year. This will vary by seller with what they sell driving it a bit too.
With that said, I would not suggest starting out by investing a lot of money in inventory. Get some inventory and gear up. Allow yourself time to learn. You will have Selling Limits as a new seller too. So slow down, gradually gear up and you will likely do much better that way. Give yourself time to learn. Selling on Ebay is not the easiest thing to learn.

It Is Crunch Time, It Could Very well Be That Buyers Are Not Confident In Delivery Times & The Cost Of Shipping, & There Has Been Very Bad Weather Across The Country, Could Still Be Some Last Minute Shoppers?, Very Hard To Say!, Best Of Luck!

No matter when you come to the Community and ask this question, there will always be sellers that agree. It is simply the nature of internet sales. Right now coupled with it may take too long to ship and the buyer to receive stuff they need for gifts.
This happens every day of the year to random sellers.

great comments!
I have noticed that I have not seen UPS, FedEx, or USPS trucks scrambling like they use to in the past during the holiday season. I would normally see a secondary freight truck from UPS in my area that was meeting with other local delivery drivers to refresh their delivery load, so they did not have to drive back to the distribution center.
Just a lot going on right now! Do you shop and rack up your C.C. for self-satisfaction or pay your monthly bills and put food on the table? Corporate America loves debt!
I have noticed some grocery prices dropping. Probably because the game of supply and demand has been played out (gouging) and people are adjusting on the food they really need, and the manufactures are seeing a decline in sales / profits.

Well actually to be honest I am a new tea seller Sri Lanka/Ceylon. During the month of December, I could sell 05 of my items and done the shipments today thanks to the advices of the experts in the forum. I didn't had sales and was little frustrated. But after adjusting some of my features and prices, I was able to do my first ever sales following 03 more orders.
Pretty happy tbh.

Comparing today's sales to yesterday's sale is silly.
The comparison should cover at least a week, and should be to the previous year.
However, because of the pandemic surge in online buying, which stopped abruptly in January 2022, it would be better to compare sales to Nov/Dec 2019 or 2018.
Collectors, in my experience, turn there collection allowance into a gift allowance in December, only to return to buying in January.
And Dec 14 makes arrival for Dec24 (a Saturday this year) questionable.
Then there is seasonal buying.
It's hard to sell a bathing suit in October, or Christmas ornaments in February.
Looks like early December is a poor market for auto parts and gamer accessories.
