Sales down to nothing from January 1 2019

Just wondering if it is just me, or if other long-time sellers have noticed a complete drop through the floor of sales that started in the beginning of this month?

They **bleep** sellers with fees. They kiss the ass of the non paying bidder by rewarding and protecting him and not allowing neg feed back to him.  Wait 7 days for a auction to end a other bidder bumped from high bid then ebay **bleep** bag does not pay. You are not allowed to black ball non paying bidder with honest dead beat feed back. Tells you something doesnt it?  Ebay crooks protects their own kind. Am I right ebay.  Restrict you from honest feed back to dead beats. You suck ebay.

Yes i like their suggestions on sellers selling. Here price it at this who cares what you paid for it. Your loss is ok as long as we make money. And whats up with some of their shipping rate suggestions. Site said $4 suggested. Post office charged $18.36 Sorry i didnt drink your kool aid suggestions ebay.  I have lost money on shipping after their final theft shipping fee. Alot of butt kissing sellers on this site that should stand up more. Maybe they fear the ebay reaper.

Re: Sales down to nothing from January 1 2019

Me too! I've been selling on Ebay for years and the last few months have been the slowest I've ever experienced on Ebay. I've lowered prices considerably, added best offer options and still no bites. I do understand with shipping costs increasing substancially across the board, I also acknowledge some states are now collecting sales tax from online Ebay buyers, not to mention Ebay's brainstorm of an idea  implementing "Good Till Cancelled" 30 day roll over listings and completely eliminating all other fixed price listings has created the PERFECT STORM for buyers not buying and sellers not selling on Ebay. I won't even get into the unrest and volitile nature of the our political leaders in the Capitol. With such tremendous uncertainties this situation alone creates on a daily basis, no wonder people are spending mainly on necessities and squirreling away any extra money that might normal come their way. I know, because unintentionally (now that I think about it) I've been limiting my purchases to necessecities also.

Re: Sales down to nothing from January 1 2019

You have it exactly right my friend, 193 items listed and 1 sold, that's one sold. I list the best of the best hot glassware being sold on this site, jadeite restaurant ware, hard to find elegant glassware; unique (glass) kitchen glassware; scarce to rare Fenton; etc. etc. and NO sales? My inventory looks like a museum and sales are down to where I can't believe how poor they are. Hope things turn around soon, it's scary, I drive 25,000 miles a year looking
for the rare and unique and it's just not happening on this site. bubba

Re: Sales down to nothing from January 1 2019

Nothing like convincing long term high volume sellers what us small time sellers have been saying for quite a while the gig is up at eBay, the reason eBay has abandoned the sellers in favor of buyers. I just recently had to close out a compliant from a buyer, once again a buyer with absolutely NO SALES on eBay, all buys, a tell tale give away as a scammer. Buyers are using eBay as a supplier to product for their brick and mortar stores. They buy your product for 100, then argue for 50 off saying product has an issue. They then turn around and sell your product in their stores for 100 and make 50 dollars. A brilliant idea, it works and eBay could careless, until of course they lose sellers in high volume. Many years high volume sellers selling Spacely Sprockets didn't care in fact us some sellers all we heard from them was stop crying. No harm no foul to them. Now they see the new BIN rules, buyers have no hurry to buy product as you sit in their watch cue endlessly, eBay doesn't care because they just add a new fee every month. No sales, endless fees don't work. The **bleep** has now hit the high volume sellers feet and they don't like it. Now they complain eBay must act. People they won't because the faculty room mentality has taken over. Ebay exec's think their Amazon, their not. They make their living on small timers selling used PC's and old games and toys, because they fail to act against these buying scammers, we are forced to take our product elsewhere and we now are, buying scammers want to scam us then let them try and sell product from empty shelves. Starve these people to death, keep their shelves empty and keep product off eBay. I sell nothing on eBay unless its parts product, guess what the scammers don't chase it because their not in the repair business their in the stealing product and flipping business. They also can't make claims on non working product thus they can't say give me back 50 bucks on that item.

Re: Sales down to nothing from January 1 2019

Sometimes sites need to be taught a lesson and that takes time. Ebay is not there yet they want to be boss and tell us how it is until they deal with their faulty practices of your items sitting in your BIN cue and buyers watch cues their done. They are still rearranging chairs on the deck of the Titanic. They themselves are running a scam now its called renewed monthly fees. Thus they and the buyer scammers are in the same slick we'll cheat them and how business. Boys its coming to an end, until they toss this new CEO out the front door it will continue. Remember there is no such thing as a personal socialist, all socialists want socialism for everyone else not themselves. Let them eat cake until they learn this lesson

Re: Sales down to nothing from January 1 2019

Who are they to suggest anything? Who asked them? How are they to change my NO OFFERS to later change them and add an offer? Do they know my costs? Who are they to tell me what my costs should be? Do they send out their guys and buy my items? Are they themselves taking away the past sold auctions thus hiding the price market? I don't sell stuff for shear selling enjoyment I do it to make money. Maybe they have the mentality they got no where to go but here, maybe they feel it will work, ok fine. I will say one thing that will work not making a profit with current costs. You can take that to the bank.

Definitely noticed auctions not what they once were. Auction endings were fun to watch before but now there is more action in the first few days compared to the last hour

Re: Sales down to nothing from January 1 2019

1. I feel as if they are trying really hard to get rid of all established old sellers.
2. Noticed they are pulling a lot of data from different servers so i have to log in again and again depending on what i am doing, like ship, pics,  sell, search etc.

which makes me ask to what end is this headed?

peace

I sell video games... my sales are flat as a pancake. March and April were ok but now I’m only making a third of what I was once selling. What gives?
