Sounds like a freight forwarder, given the address.  Those are legitimate.  An international buyer wants to buy from US buyers, but some only ship to the US.  Buyer uses a freight forwarder in the US so that the seller can ship to a US address.  The good news is that, once the package arrives at the FF's address, the seller is off the hook for any issues.

Surprising that you, as an experienced seller, have not encountered this previously.

And please don't post in all caps, no matter how upset you are.

Your  CapsLock and exclamation point key seem to be stuck.

As to freight forwarders, I consider them the second safest address to send to, the first being a USPS  P.O. Box.

Freight forwarders allowed me to have (past tense, because I'm not actively selling at the moment) lots of very nice international sales without having extra shipping costs or considerations and without having to worry about customs paperwork or unreliable foreign postal systems.

Do some scammers use freight forwarders?  Never in my experience but, sure, I imagine some do.  Why not?  They scam with every other sort of address / delivery service you can name.

@jessical0910

That's a freight forward address and in most cases, an acceptable means of shipping.  Most sellers have no problems with it.

Scammers are everywhere.  It's the sign of the times.  Thanks for the heads up regardless.

Happy Selling.

I've shipped using freight forwarders before and those sales have been worry-free. Sorry you had a scrub buyer.

You have real problems, and the people on here that you are calling scammers aren't one of them.

If you so easily call people you don't know and have done nothing to you scammers then I will just completely ignore you.

Waste of time.

You should believe everything that you read on the internet.

Your life will be better for it.

Okaaaay,, it's a freight forwarder. Scammers could be using them to scam but legitimate buyers use them, too. You can't  throw the freight forwarder under the bus!  They haven't done anything wrong.

When you ship to the address eBay provides your job is done.

eBay hasn't  blocked that address. The rep was blowing smoke up your skirt.

So are you going to accuse me of being as scammer, too, like you accused @soh.maryl ? Telling you why using a freight forwarder is allowed doesn't  make her a scammer.  You're just mad she said don't post in all caps.

That's  considered shouting at us when you type in all caps. In case you didn't  know. 😊

Plus, text in all caps is much harder to read than text in upper and lower case, a fact long established, and that is especially so for those of us who are visually impaired.

Please don't assume everyone with a Chinese sounding name is a scammer. It can be construed to be a bit racist when these type of accusations are posted.

Hope you have calmed down and are on to better things.

Sounds like the panicky OP phoned eBay.

If they got a number off the internet they may have really been speaking with scammers.

The (real ) phone reps have a terrible reputation for getting you off the phone as soon as possible even if that means giving you the advice you want to hear instead of the advice you need to have.

The social media Chat accounts are covered by trained eBay employees with some authority.
And you get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told.

@jessical0910

THEN REPORT TO EBAY AS NOT RECEIVED

When tracking shows delivery to a freight forwarder the seller's responsibility for delivery ends.

https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy...

If you did not respond to the Claim - which is a formal notice from eBay and not a random email or even Message- with the tracking number, you lose the Claim for being unresponsive.

Even though eBay already may have the tracking number, you still have to supply it again.

If this is the same forwarder, I am thinking it is.  They are wonderful folks.  They are only one of two that I know of that vet the seller.  To make sure their buyers are not getting ripped off.

I think it is your buyer that is the problem.

Just my Two Cents...
Thank you for being here!

How exactly do you know that eBay is "getting aware" of this, given that millions of us have shipped via freight forwarders in New Castle DE with no issues whatsoever?

I ship to businesses and freight forwards all the time.

SELLERS BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not going to beware of freight forwarders. I have no issues with them whatsoever.

However, I will beware of people that call others scammers who are not.

Posting in all caps is considered rude and shouting. If you're having trouble reading your own post I suggest increasing the font size as indicated by the T with up and down arrows next to it at the top of the post.Untitled.png
