actually, I've had my best sales month yet--over $2000 (only been selling for 6 months, though)...BUT this is simply because I've spent more on inventory and listed more items this month...pretty sure I can't maintain this pace...lol

My sales are up over last year this time, but down from last few months. For me this is not unanticipated or a surprise. For me, summer months are historically slower than other times of the year.

Yes, I am. I am a low volume seller selling "wants" instead of "needs" in a niche market.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Disneyland, the source of my merchandise for sale, is closed. I can only rotate my current inventory, with no way to access new merchandise. At one time, it was announced Disneyland would reopen on July 17th, but with the increase in Covid-19 cases in California, that reopening has been postponed.

Ours are up this month. Best month in quite some time.
We have been using some of the 200 "promo" listings, but not really enough of them to attribute that as much of a factor. Just using them to continue some long-tail items, and to refresh some that go out of stock for a while giving them that "new listing" look, rather than just a "restocked" listing.
Our listings are not seasonally, holiday, vacation, weather affected items.

My June sales are down from April and May, but way up over June of last year. Historically, June has been one of my slowest sales months. This year sales have been steady all month, and I'm seeing a slight uptick in the last week or so.

First time in 15 years that I can’t even eek out a single sale. Ouch...
Too many useless changes. Too many glitches. IMHO.
Good Luck to all. I think it’s time to bail out.

I sell industrial supply and sales are down about 60%. But I understand why. Many manufacturing facilities are feeling the resission, and the uncertainty of the economy has a lot of people holding off on buying. I've been through it before. This is why I follow my grandmother's advice, "Always have a rainy day fund put away".

@rraymond702 wrote:ARE MOST SELLERS EXPERIENCING FEWER SALES?
Fewer sales that when?
Last year?
Last six months?
Last three months?
Last month?
Last week?
My sales for March and April were about 2 times the same period last year.
My sales for May and June were about 1.5 times the same period last year.
So I am experiencing fewer sales than March and April, but more still experiencing more sales than last year.

Reading over all the answers so far I detect an obvious thing, at least a thing for sellers who have been selling on a continuous level for at least a few years.
The "thing"? It's what you sell and who your target audience is.
I sell in media for the most part, nobody needs my stuff and they only buy when they have spare cash and nothing better to spend it on.
The last half of March was great, April was fantastic, May saw a slowdown, June was a bit shaky but picked up a bit at the end, this week has been VERY quiet.
The OP sells men's dress clothing and "office casual", who needs any of that when you are locked down in a pandemic! or 500,000 weddings cancelled (they still get hitched but 50 MILLION people who needed something to wear did not get invited).
Another poster sells industrial supplies, that has to be a loser given many of those buyers are just hoping to stay out of bankruptcy never mind restock supplies.
The sellers non-essential collectible type stuff are doing well because people have time on their hands and many have money to spend that would normally be going to eating out, movies, bars, local B&M stores and so on.
I'm sure sellers of stuff for "around the home" have been well also but need to prepare for the day (not coming soon) when people can go out to spend money in person.
If your target market is made up mostly of the millions of recently unemployed, my sympathies.........
Into your life it will creep

This is my first time in 20 years looking into this community message board. Reason why. My sales of antiques and collectables have dropped soooo much. I am ready to throw in the towel! I think with this virus going around, people loosing their jobs, people loosing their retirement/investment funds. That people are not spending money on frivolous items like they use to. If you look at E bays stocks, they are way up. I guess if I was selling face masks or hand sanitizers, I would be rich.
