I had a customer and they were not happy with the purchase. I said I would take a return and they needed to go through eBay. They could not do it. They asked, pleaded, just to send it back to me. They sent it back to the Franklin, Tennessee, address that was on the delivery label. I have a tracking number that shows delivery.
I have tried for over an hour to contact or communicate my issue with eBay. Once again, I cannot get past AI to talk to human being at eBay. They make money off me but cannot talk to me. Anyone out there know how to talk.

No. In this thread he said "They could not do it" (a return) and in the deleted thread he said the return was "not via eBay." Also apparently the Tennessee is his old seller address, not where he currently lives. So he's mad that the item is sitting at his old address (or maybe was a nice surprise for whoever lives there now?), and he can't sell it again.
Considering the source, I wonder if the buyer really even "couldn't" do a normal return, or was just tricked into thinking they should simply ship back directly, and it backfired because OP forgot the wrong address was on the return label.

OK, that starts to make a bit more sense out of this. Thanks 😂

The item was delivered to the Franklin, Tennessee address. I live in Georgia. eBay uses the Franklin, TN address on all my labels. The customer sent my return to the Tennessee address. Not my home address.

Uh, Steve-O.....the USPS uses whatever address you have on file with eBay when you buy a label from them. I think the real question here is, why do you have a TN address on file with eBay when you live in Georgia?

All my labels I buy from eBay do not use my home address. I live in Georgia but eBay puts in a Franklin,TN address as being mine. Ref label above. The customer sent the return to Franklin, TN. The item was delivered to the Franklin, Tennessee address. I want my item back but cannot get in touch with eBay.

I assume you have tried to change your return address in eBay settings and it's not working?

Okay, When I buy a label from eBay to send to a buyer, the label lists my address as being in Franklin, TN. Ref label above. I live in Georgia. A customer sent a return to the Franklin, TN address instead of going through eBay. My problem is I want to speak with someone at eBay to try to get my item back. I can’t get past AI to speak with anyone at eBay. Is that more clear?

Uh, no, your problem is you live in Georgia and have a Franklin TN address on file with eBay.

Okay let's work from here: imagine that eBay will do whatever you ask them to. -What would that be? Your package is sitting at an address in Tennessee, and the eBay rep you speak to is in Indonesia or whatever. What do you want her to DO exactly?

I'm not sure how eBay has any control over a package sent to the wrong address you provided.

"Your package is sitting at an address in Tennessee..."
And I'm betting the folks in Tennessee are just as confused about this weird package they received.

Hey, Steve-O here's an idea. Why don't you write to the folks in Tennessee whose address you're using, and ask them if they'll ship your stuff back to your real address in Georgia?

And ..... no more clarifying I guess. Well, if someone wakes up hungover tomorrow with a vague sense of embarrassment, I have the screenshots to help them remember why they should be.

Did you ever live in Franklin TN?
If yes follow this link to check what your on file address for returns is:
https://settings3.ebay.com/address/add?type=RETURN
If for any reason that link doesn't work then try this one:
https://accountsettings.ebay.com/uas/addresses
If it is showing Franklin then change it to the correct address.
Understand that since the buyer made the return outside of the eBay process you don't need to refund anything but the buyer could still open a Payment Claim via their credit card company. Depending on what reason is used you may or may not be covered by Seller Protections.
