Listings discrepancy

When I try to compare a product that I would like to sell to one that has sold, filtering the sold listings can show discrepancies in quantity.   Can someone tell me why?

It seems pretty obvious what the "descrepancy" is

You have 4 different conditions in your screen shot

New with Box with 5348 listings

New without box 1820 listings

New with defects 431 listings 

Pre-owned (aka used) 19,230 listings

So, the item you want to sell, is it new with or without a box, pre-owned or new with defects?

It is a new item.  Why does it show 5,348 listings up top, but when I click on that option, the bottom of the page says 2700 plus listings?

Are you using any other filters aside from the Condition filter?
