I've enjoyed being a small Seller on Ebay for 12 years. It's procedures were simple to understand and use and things have gone smoothly for me most of the time. But, since the recent changes, I've had more issues with sales in the last 4 weeks or so than I've had in 12 years. This aggravation and difficulty may be what causes me to stop selling completely! It's something I enjoy in my retirement, earns me a bit of "pocket change" to supplement my income, and I enjoy the interaction with mostly good people during the transaction process. My rating is 100% for all these years, but because of these confusing new processes I may end up getting hits that affect my rating, and if so, I'm gonna be "outta here"! My philosophy has always been "If it ain't broke, don't fix it......"

Well, the ones that are "too dumb" as you say have the added benefit of all the geniuses that help us slower ones along, SCHEW, where would we be without them??? GO GO GO GO GO!!! YEA FOR OUR TEAM!!

One mans rubbish is another mans truth, so please enlighten me, I mean, I can see you've had enough sales to REALLY UNDERSTAND all the benefits here!!

I'm not sure what your question really is but perhaps this will answer it, I DONT LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!!

OP - sorry your thread is hijacked
There have been a myriad of glitches with e-Bay these past few weeks - even seasoned long-term sellers like yourself are frustrated. It has been hard to keep up with a few of the change implementation items - however, as a Seller, I would prefer they make all these updates/changes at one time and be done with it, vs rolling this out over all of 2021 in dribs and drabs. Most everything ends up being "tweaked" anyway, so the sooner the better. I would not want a ton of changes as we ready for the "selling season" heading in to 3rd and 4th quarter/Holidays.
As you have issues arise, come back to these boards - there are some great nuggets of advice and information on here daily and folks willing to help you, if they can. Hang in there! This is not the e-Bay you found 12 years ago when you started selling and thank goodness, it is not!

Bless your heart... you're like the Newcomer at a 12-Step Meeting. We've all been where you are.
To answer @fern*wood's question... I have never experienced a payment not move all the way to 'Completed' once it says it's 'Processing', nor have I ever heard of any seller's experience of such.

Like you all say... no 10 days. Since Fall, 2020, I find that my buyer's payment is my bank deposit in 4 business days.

Thank you mtgraves for answering my question. I thought it was a rather short and clear one.
That has been my experience so far too. I just looked at my sales for yesterday and they have already moved to my available funds today, so if I had daily payouts, they would be going to my bank tomorrow. I have no problem at all with the speed of this, but if sellers are out there having payments never clear---that would be a problem. That's why I asked.
I preferred to not switch, but I wasn't willing to stop selling.

I chose weekly payouts, even with that it's doesn't take 10 days for the funds to hit my checking account.

I just 'stress-tested' one, too, as I had a sale yesterday. Mine has already moved to 'Available', so tomorrow I expect an email saying it has been 'Completed'. That means my BOA account will reflect it on Friday, as I have Daily Payouts.
Between you and I... I've been posting 4 days since it became the norm during August, 2020. In actuality, I've been receiving my funds in 3 business days since February, 2021. When I'm dadgum sure that it's shortened to 3 business days, I'll feel comfortable sharing that . 😉
Nobody said it was easy. But it's simple.

Totally agree and same as you. It use to be fun, a little extra $ and some great dialog with possible buyers. It has become a nightmare, very difficult to list, too many hoops to jump thru for the same result. I have a few listings and no sales in weeks. The adding more "specifics" is ridiculous as those were covered in Descriptions and buyers always had the option to ask SPECIFIC questions. Ebay IS supported (and well) by their sellers and when their sellers BAIL, ebay won't have much of a business left unless they listen to us!!!!

On your listings - would add better title keywords (use ever character available) and descriptors, etc. Many of your titles are too generic.
Good luck and maybe start a new thread to have those on the boards address your specific concerns.

I have to agree. Ebay is no longer user friendly. Every time I add a requirement or recommendation they ask for more. Many of my items are vintage and do not contain the information the claim will be required or recommended. I am looking into other avenues so I don't waste more time listing then relisting

Let’s be clear here! They may issue your payment daily but you won’t get it for 2 or 3 days depending on when they actually send it and your bank gets it. PayPal was instant!

It's definitely interesting. It seems every change ebay makes on here is designed to drive sellers (and buyers) away from the site. I got my theory about that, but I'm sure I'll find out whether it's fact or not very soon.

I have sold on ebay for 19 years and am also retired. EBay for years was such fun. I had all the great ratings, etc, and was happy. After these last changes, it has been harder, constant new things to learn and have had 3 non payers in a week or so. I had very few if any before now. Why? I loved eBay the way it was. The changes seem more time consuming and not easy like it used to be. The my eBay page has to be re done each time you go to it and used to just be there. Frustratated and discouraged.
